Republicans lost a good one today.!

He was a Regan style Republican! In no way a R.I.N.O. He was a Republican like the type we had in the 80's, the type that could work with moderate Democrats to get good legislation accomplished!

You guys sure turn on a guy the second he looses the R!

This is the guy Jeb Bush endorsed for Governor!

LMAO... Dontchya LOVE how they are now using this "Reagan-style Republican" nonsense to apply to republicans who will entertain their stupid ideas? The guy has as much in common with Ronald Reagan as Barney Frank's left nut!

He's pro-choice... supported the Stimulus... and is a Warmer. 'nuff said! He's NOT a Reagan-style Republican, he is a symptom of the problem with the GOP, and it's good that Mark Rubio is kicking his ass resoundingly enough to force him out of the party. Good fucking riddance! Would any more RINO's like to join him? Please?

Crist is nothing but a jobseeker.
Uhhh RS...you're not exactly known for saying dumb things.....but that was dumb. What politician isn't a job seeker?

I've heard Rubio. This nation needs him like they do a hole in their head. As a right wing extremist he my be popular with the Republican base but he's not tenable across the state. I actually hope Christ wins. People like him are going to be the eventual salvation of the Republican party.

Meeks must be a real dip shit of a politician. I can't believe he's losing. Rubio is a nut job.

You know the supreme irony of calling Christ a RINO is that 30 years ago these same people wouldn't have been Republicans. Where as Christ would have been a typical pro business Republican. My how far the Republican party has fallen.

By the way, polling in a 3 way race gives Christ a significant lead. That tells me he has the center and independents. I hope he wins. This is so terribly dissapointing. Christ is my kind of Republican and even 20 years ago he was pretty typical of a mainstream Republican. How low can the republican party fall that they would jettison him?

Christ is a perfect example of the extremism that has enveloped the Republican party. Intellectual conformity rules the day. There is no room for diversity of views or opinion. All must march in lock step.

I say the Republicans loss should be the Democrats gain. I think the Democrats should welcome a center right moderate like Christ with open arms

I use it as Mencken did.

Bryan, at his best, was simply a magnificent job-seeker. The issues that he bawled about usually meant nothing to him. He was ready to abandon them whenever he could make votes by doing so, and to take up new ones at a moment's notice. For years he evaded Prohibition as dangerous; then he embraced it as profitable. At the Democratic National Convention last year he was on both sides, and distrusted by both. In his last great battle there was only a baleful and ridiculous malignancy. If he was pathetic, he was also disgusting.

Crist is this same sort of spineless jobseeker.

I have not called him a RINO. Ron Paul is a RINO and that is a compliment. I have not formed a strong opinion Rubio yet. Cheney endorsed him and that's a strike against him, but... My opinion of Crist has nothing to do with Rubio.

lol....however, as the blue dogs recently discovered, that welcome stops short of letting them actually VOTE in a center right moderate manner....the Dems would welcome them so long as they commit to being MINOs......moderate in name only.....

That's mostly nonsense. Crist is an example of the grass roots trying to reclaim the party as Lieberman was with the Democrats. The party elite have a knack at hijacking those movements, so I won't be surprised at all to find that has happened with Rubio. But Crist is being tossed because he is symptomatic of the problem that confronts both parties and politics in general. His primary allegiance is to his continued employment and not his constituents or the principles he claims to hold. He's a job-seeker.

I am not sure how well Crist is known outside Florida or the Tampa Bay area, but I have viewed Crist as a job-seeker before I was old enough to vote, back before he became a permanent member of the parasitic class.

Crist is a 5 tool parasite, i.e., an adept politician. I have little doubt now, that the last part of this "ouster" was a calculated move by Crist. He knew Rubio was going to beat him and needed something to justify his move to an independent run. In walks the tenure reform bill. Hell, I bet he asked his buddy, Connie Mack, and others to criticize his veto publicly.

i'm sure you said the same thing about the democrats when lieberman was forced to run as an independent just like crist
