Republicans fail to pass healthcare reform

It passed and is working. The Republican alternative?

Choke on our government footprint on your healthcare.

Obviously that is not true. At all. Otherwise insurers would not be bailing out left and right. How many government programs do you know of where anyone would bail out?

Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare
A lot of people have "fake views" on Obamacare — and/or the Affordable Care Act.
More than one out of every three Americans incorrectly believes that Obamacare and the Affordable Care Act are different laws, or say they don't know whether they're the same or different, a new poll finds.
The Morning Consult survey comes as Republicans in Congress and President Donald Trump are pushing to repeal the ACA — which is in fact the same thing as Obamacare.

Seventeen percent of respondents to the poll said they believed the ACA and Obamacare were different things.
Another 18 percent didn't know if they were different.
"This confusion was most pronounced among people 18 to 29 and those who earn less than $50,000 — two groups that could be significantly affected by repeal," Morning Consult co-founder Kyle Dropp and Dartmouth College professor Brendan Nyhan wrote in a New York Times column summarizing the results

How out of touch you are. The entire process was done in secret without any Dem input. The problem was a secret process that didn't address even the breadth of Republican thinking, such as it is.

The fail is a failure within your party, not a reaching across ideological aisles.

That said a trillion dollar tax cut for mass death failing is a good day for good people.

You should look in a mirror. Partisanship has clouded your judgement so bad you cannot see straight nor think clearly. Facts are facts and folks like you just ignore them. Put your fingers in your ears and sing to yourself when the truth is told. Grow up.

I will revisit this thread, make sure it stays at the top of the page day after day after day, when the Senate passes the repeal and replace..

you idiots don't know when to shut up do you?

They may pass something that alters Obama care a little bit, but we are never going back to where we were before Obama permanently changed the face of American healthcare for the better.

Barking bitches caught the car and now have no idea what to do with it. Who knew governing could be so much more complicated than incessant demagoguery?

Actually it just shows massive entitlements once given are difficult to take away. Unfortunately this is world many want, total reliance on government

Isn't that the truth? That's why I say the repubs are pussies. Just do it.

They know they'll get voted out of office if they do. Most of the people who will lose coverage aren't losing private coverage they're losing Medicaid. Once you get "free" care you don't want to give that up.

Damn that President Johnson!

Possible but next time Lisa Murkowski comes up for reelection I will not vote for her. I will vote for the Tea Party guy (Joe Miller) who perpetually runs against her and who I always despised. But I've finally had enough of Lisa. Many people I've talked to say the same thing.
Kind of the same storm that has brewed for a long time which got Trump elected.
I know Joe Miller would vote on principle and not be concerned with job security. And I like that.

But what's Trumps position here? On one hand he says repeal and replace and on the other hand he says everyone should have great care. And the tea party and Trump are pretty diametrically opposed

Turtle boy couldn't unite his party. The bill as it is is too kind for Paul and Cruz and too mean for Collins and the moderates.
If he makes it meaner he loses more moderates from purple states. If he makes it kinder Paul, Cruz and the hardcore want no part of something that leaves any of Obamacare in place. A majority can't agree.
All that is left to do is repair Obamacare with the Democratic senators and the moderates on the GOP side to form a coalition majority that gives America what it really wants...
Turtle boy will never do that... He is cold blooded.
He will pull himself into his shell and die before doing something bipartisan.
