Republicans drop the ball in the home stretch

do you realize how bad things have gotten when you think that someone telling you its bad to kill children is an extremist?.......seriously wft is wrong with you people?.....

Nice dishonest take. The fringe position is that abortion is "killing children". It's out of step with over 70% of Americans.

Possibly. I feel like it changes the dynamic less because of abortion as an issue - though that revs up the base - and more because of the perception that the court is now extreme right-wing, and the country as a whole is taking a big right turn.

The electorate always seems to correct things when it looks like they're going too far in one direction or another.

But, tons of time between now & then. It's hard to predict how this will affect the outcome.

Stunning! Did you say that accidentally? Because you(perhaps unwittingly)stumbled into one of the pillars of the right wing philosophy! And you are 100% correct, the "extreme right-wing" SCOTUS did something routinely right wing. They stripped a power away from the federal government. However small the amount of power that was in Roe, it has been taken away from an extreme LEFT-wing federal government, and returned to the states now. God help us, the "extreme right-wing" SCOTUS thinks even you jackasses are smart enough to decide if you want this crap in your state or not.

Lubin Toobin is a decade and a half older than Casey Greenfield. To put that in perspective if your 18 year old daughter was dating 33 year old man you would consider her much younger.

No, it would be like a 28 year old woman dating a 43 year old man. Then on and off dating him for 10 years, and ending with a 38 year old woman dating a 53 year old man.

Meanwhile trump was dating 14 year old girls when he was in his late 60's. That is sick.

Walt,.....have you been sized for your millstone yet? Not to worry,.....Im pretty sure a little pencil neck like you wont require a very big one. Im thinking one could be rounded up in no time at all.

We can always tell when the alt right posters have completely lost the debate, they shift to bizarre personal attacks.

Not going to change anything in Red states.

It will change suburban women voters. So in a state like Georgia or Texas, where urban voters are strongly Democratic, rural voters are strongly Republicans, it will change the swing voters. Think about this, if just 1.3% of the voters in Texas had switch sides, O'Rourke would have defeated Cruz. And that is Texas. This might just be that 1.3% of the vote.

Political scientists have been saying for years that overturning Roe v. Wade could be a blood bath for Republicans. It is hard to say, because you cannot poll how people feel about an event that had not happened at that point. I was talking about a 1.3% shift being more than enough, but political scientists are talking about shifts closer to 5%. That would be a blood bath...

...Except in Wyoming, and states like that. In the smallest, most red states, it will not make a difference.

Nor in Red districts of swing states. The only thing it might do...albeit too late...is to encourage those who refused to vote in '16 to vote now.

The whole point of gerrymandering is to win by as little of a majority as possible. There has been some intensive gerrymandering assuming that Republicans would win the suburbs. If there is a 5% shift, that turns a relatively safe district into a loss.

We still have to see what the reaction is, but this could be huge.

The GOP was headed for one of the most uncontested touchdowns in political history. They would have won easily this November. They just fumbled, and it might give the whole game away.

I'm not sure if they realize how many people they just woke up (sorry to use "woke" there). SO many on both the right & left said that Roe would never be overturned. There was a complacency about it.

This is a political earthquake. Not only does this galvanize the Dem base, it rattles independents and even Republicans who won't be on board with a hard right turn for America. The only historical example that seems close is when Clinton took office and came out immediately with more leftist policies, which got corrected in '94 by the electorate.

November just became much more interesting.

Repukes dropped a two ton ball on their hides when in 2016 they conspired with foreign enemies to hack the 2016 election in the 45 devil's favor, and also dropped another two ton ball on their hides when they conspired in the sewer with tRump to wage war on the 2020 secure and lawful electoral process that blew up on their hides as the stupid motherfkrs they are. Additionally, the repuke creatures dropped another two ton ball on their stinking hides at conspiring with tRump in the sewer to wage insurrectionist war on the U.S. Capitol, and now the seditious gutter repuke mob put another napalm bomb on their ass at conspiring with seditious repukes at SCOTUS to wage war on all core values of Ameria, in particular, women's reproductive rights. The repuke mob that has corrupted itself with the stench of tRump's influences are no longer real Americans but a clump of taxpayer pilfering and stupid creatures, who deserve an official Congressional condemnation, in particular.

More Americans support abortion rights today than at any time in our history. It's not really close anymore - most polls show around 70% support keeping abortion legal.

The projections for GOP gains were before this story. This story changes the entire campaign.

As it happens, I also support legal abortion, but reject the obvious lie that the unborn is not a living, human life.

Out of curiosity, do you feel that a normally developing, unborn human is not human life?

Legality of Abortion is what it is. One thing it is NOT is a Federal Issue.

Every human being shits human life every day and washes human life down the drain whenever they brush their teeth. Sperm is human life and eggs are human life. A zygote is human life and a fetus is human life.

When does human life become a human being? One consensus is brainwave activity, another is viability outside the womb. I go with the latter definition. When human life can live on its own without parasitical attachment to the mother, then it’s a human being.

I think you vastly overestimate how many people are in favor of mass infanticide.

Inception retard. That is when new DNA is created and a new human being is created.

Who is predicting 35-70 seats? The current House races are so gerrymandered that no one is predicting the Dems losing much more than 20 seats which would lose them the House but it isn't 70.
Picking up 35 seats in an off year election is hardly at an all time high? GOP picked up 54 in 1992 and picked up 64 in 2010. The GOP has held as many as 300 seats in the House in the past. Even if they pick up 70 they won't reach that 300 seats number.

In those years, they were not as near parody as they are now. Even a very minor pick up, by mid term standards, of 35 seats will give Republicans a greater majority than any they've enjoyed since about 1950.

With the clown show administration failing on everything and now standing up this ridiculous banana republic Ministry of Truth, the handwriting is on the wall.

The actual facts about the States' Rights issue of Abortion should also be evident by then as well... Unless the same folks that hid the lap top and created the Collusion Lie are again successful in deceiving the weak minded.

Seems like there are always plenty of weak minded to deceive. Liz Warren started immediately frantically shrieking to attract their attention.

As I witnessed the recent pro-choice protestors rail against the leaked Supreme Court draft decision proposing to overturn Roe v. Wade, I made the following observations. Has anyone ever noticed how liberals have such a limited vocabulary? Every other word is the F… word. These protestors are young, indoctrinated Communists who believe America is the root cause of evil in the world. They are the same people who believe in Black Lives Matter, the Critical Race Theory, the 1619 Project, reparations, white privilege, microaggressions, abolishing free speech (for everyone but them), climate change, assorted gender identities, and abortion. They have no sense of right or wrong. They have never been taught morals, ethics, or values. They are totally absorbed in their own self-importance. They are entitled to their own opinion, but not their own facts. Watch the attached video and you might decide America is not such a bad place after all.

Your belief that a single-cell zygote is a human being is a religious POV unsupported by science or US law.

It is absolutely based by science, inception is the point at which absolutely unique and individual DNA is created. As for US law not supporting it, that's the entire point and what is about to change.

Unique DNA doesn’t equal a human being, son. By your logic cloned humans are not human being since their DNA is not unique. By your logic it’s okay to kill one of two identical twins in the womb because there’s two of them, not unique. Killing one leaves only one who is “unique”.

That said, I’d love to see your “science” on this issue. Do you have any references or links backing this “science” that unique DNA equals a human being?

I certainly hope what you posted is "parody" and isn't your actual thought process.

By the end of May we could well find that Durham is admitting that Russian were actually conspiring to assist Trump in 2016 since Sussmann's trial is supposed to occur this month. The DoJ, the Senate, the special consul and every other body that has investigated the actual facts has concluded that based on those facts Russia aided Trump's campaign. The thing they didn't find was that Trump conspired with the Russians even though he was more than willing to accept their help.

The OIG for DoJ just found that Trump appointees attempted to change or prevent the release of intelligence reports that Russia was aiding Trump in 2020 because they made Trump "look bad."

Just as an FYI, the US has existed prior to 1950 and "ever" is not restricted time wise to only refer to after 1950.

It’s not a parody or even a POE; Code1211 believes what he posts.
