No, I am not okay with that, and it will be the Democrats fault if it happens. The budget was supposed to have been passed this time LAST YEAR! You know, when Democrats controlled both houses of Congress and the White House, and could have passed anything they wanted? They AVOIDED it because they didn't want to go home before the elections and have to answer to constituents about why they approved such a massive deficit. It was a purely political tactic, but it didn't save the Democrats from losing many seats, at both the federal and state level. Now we are where we're at because of that, and Republicans need to keep reminding people of that. They could have passed any budget they wanted to last year, but Nancy Pelosi opted out for political gain. Now we have Democrats stonewalling over what amounts to less than 1% of the budget, and a fraction of the deficit.

The point, my dimwitted friend, is that Obama cannot veto a bill (aka "force a shutdown") if the bill never makes it to his desk (aka is not passed by the Senate). This thing passed by the House will not pass the Senate.

you are really slow on the uptake....the reason i said it is irrelevant about it passing the senate, is because i am talking about OBAMA wanting a shutdown. if you want to theorize about the senate, go for it, but that is all it is, theory....obama, however, has said he will shutdown the government by vetoing the bill. but you want to act like i don't how bills are passed and ignore obama's intent because you're a mealy mouth apologist that likes to dishonestly act like i don't know how it works. why can't you just admit this isn't just the GOP, but also obama who would force a shutdown if it passed the senate. there is NO theory that obama will veto it, he has said he would, but you want to daydream about theories in order to avoid admitting its not just the gop

and once again the fibberfish ignores obama....why can't you be honest and admit he would shut the government down? if it is FACT that it won't pass the senate, why did obama feel the need to say he would veto any extension? you are a party hack that will forgive anything obama does. it is wholly irrelevant if it passes the senate, the FACT is obama would shut down the government, but you're too much of a hack to acknowledge the truth of the matter fibberfish.

Oh, like I said, I have no problem with it. Shut it down for a few months, we won't die. Military people are very resourceful, they will find a way to get by for a couple of months, I am not worried about them. I hate our brave soldiers have to be inconvenienced by a bunch of petulant Democrats who think this is some kind of game, but so be it!
