Trying to picture two diametrically opposed mighty nuclear armed nations with interspersed borders coexisting in peaceful harmony. Not easy to see it working out very well.
And they think this is a good idea?
And much of the populace of each has family spread all across the nation? And they would need/want to constantly go back and forth?
And just because a state is red or blue does not mean everyone within the state is politically aligned.
Look at the reddest of districts. Look at the election results. It's not 100% in support of Republicans. There is always a significant proportion of the voters voting Democrat. And visa versa.
What are the people who are politically opposed to the state government they live in to do? All move away to a politically friendly state? People do not generally relocate for political reasons. Usually it is family or job.
This whole idea is stupidly conceived.
It's just dumb bogus ramblings meant to be an attention-getter.

We live more free lives than roughly 99% of the people who ever existed on the planet earth. Maybe some have a hard time affording that 75" TV, but otherwise, people can do basically whatever they want.

It's embarrassing for anyone to use the word "tyranny" for anything that happens in America. My parents & their parents actually LIVED under tyranny, and oppression. It does a tremendous disservice to the millions throughout history who have had to live in those conditions for spoiled l'il Americans to say that they're oppressed, or that their freedoms are restricted.

It should be embarrassing for ANYONE who has seen the last 16 years of crap in our nation to believe that you have anything close to freedom. When one has to worry about retribution from a government entity for doing or saying something they don't like, that is not freedom, that's tyranny.
the founders said it best when they said that 'liberty is when the government fears the people, tyranny is when the people fear the government'. Tyranny can also be defined as 'that which the government can do, but the people cannot'.
