Republicans are insane.

There is no such thing as a neutral third party, dumbass.
This is the sort of BS that Democrats constantly try to pull on us here in Wisconsin.

They claim that they want to have a "neutral third party" (a "non-partisan commission", as it's usually called around here) in control of drawing the district lines instead of the legislature "gerrymandering" them (a word that they only use when they happen to be the minority party in the respective legislature).

In short, the Democrats here love to whine and piss and moan about "gerrymandering" because they choose to predominately live inside Madison (and its suburbs) and inside Milwaukee (the city, not so much the suburbs), so the rest of the State tends to have more conservatives than liberals living in it.

They believe that a State that has citizens who supposedly vote roughly 50/50 should thus have roughly 50/50 representation in both the state legislature and in Congress. IOW, they are mad that the rest of the State doesn't wish to live like they do so they desire to force the rest of the State into submission.

They vehemently abhor that our Congressional representation currently consists of 5 Republicans and 3 Democrats (which is soon to be 6 Republicans and 2 Democrats if even a semi-fair election were to be held in November). They vehemently abhor that our State legislature is dominated by Republicans (currently 61-38 in the assembly; 21-12 in the senate, and soon to be higher in both). They abhor that abortion is a felony here (I hope they move to Illinois!). They abhor that, provided a semi-fair election, there will soon be a Republican Governor again and Wisconsin can be the next Florida.

Democrats truly are miserable people who want everyone else to be as miserable as they are.

Reagan and Nixon both cheated in elections

Reagan also race baited

He sold arms for hostages

The last good Republican was Ike

Meh. No human being is a god. I liked Reagan but he had his fuckups just like other presidents. He was right for the time. I think GW Bush would have been better for the 90s but that's pure conjecture. The 90s saw US politics take a dark turn after the Cold War ended.

Herschel Walker who admits to having multiple personalities, some of them very violent, is neck and neck with the Democratic challenger in Georgia.

His opponent is literally a super religious honorable and sane candidate.

While there will definitely be folks voting for Walker because of the "R", I do believe that Warnock is going to cruise to an easy victory because there isn't much enthusiasm for the Texan's carpetbagging in Georgia.

I feel confident that Warnock is going to get 50%+ of the vote on election day so there won't be a runoff. In fact, I think that might be the only major race in GA that doesn't go to a runoff.

How was Reagan "right for the time"? I don't understand what you mean. We are still dealing with the bullshit from Reagan's Presidency today.

He broke the Soviet Union. Disagreed that Reagan is the reason for any problems 9 Presidential terms later.

He broke the Soviet Union.

No he didn't.

The famine and perestroika broke the Soviet Union, and we had nothing to do with either.

And the USSR didn't even dissolve when Reagan was President! It happened two years after he left office. Come on.

Ah..so you admit Socialism, once again, doesn't work. It implodes with famine. Sorry, but while the problems of the Soviet's fucked up form of government and economy was doomed to failure, Reagan's influence certainly shortened the time they existed.

Well, Reagan is the reason we have massive national debt and deficits because his shitty tax cuts caused the deficit to double and the debt to nearly triple.

We are also dealing with his shitty legacy, that for some reason people want to romanticize and not remember that he taxed Social Security benefits in order to lower taxes for the rich. So we are most definitely still dealing with that poor decision today.

Still dealing with tax cutting, supply-side idiots who think the answer to everything is to cut spending and give the wealthy more.

We are also dealing with his foreign policy legacy, since he's the one who created al Qaeda by arming the mujahedeen in Afghanistan against the Soviets.

There's of course the AIDS crisis that I'm sure you treated as a joke just like Reagan did.

Of course there's the fallout from the S&L scandal that Reagan enabled.

I mean, fuck dude, what good did Reagan actually do? None. He didn't even face a recession when he took office and less than a year after his tax cuts a real recession started.

"Right President for the right time," yeah, if the right time is never and he's not the President.

The Republican Party cheated right from the top

That included the evil fucking Ronny rayguns

They were all anti America

So true

He was a horrible man and a mediocre actor that fooled lots of people

Ah..so you admit Socialism, once again, doesn't work.

So now because I ruined your Reagan fanfiction, you are broadening out the definition of Socialism to include Communism, just like the Nazis do, when you're too fucking stupid to understand that Socialism is an economic system and Communism is a political system.

But you know that, you're just having an outburst because I ruined your day.

It implodes with famine.

Well too bad for you that socialism is not a political system, it is an economic one, and Communism, which you're trying to link to socialism broadly, is a political system.

I don't expect you to understand the difference because I don't find you very smart.

Hum no

That's a pretty severe leftward spin on the 1980s. LOL I'll agree Reagan wasn't perfect. He was, indeed, a good President for the time unlike Carter and Clinton. The good thing about Carter was that he kept his pants zipped..and even got ridiculed by the Right for it.

The Soviet Union's economy only crashed once, at the end.

Our economy has crashed 3 times in 20 years and required socialism from the government to bail them out each time.

In fact, from the period of the USSR's dissolution to today, our economy has been bailed out 4 times.

FOUR TIMES.

So in the scoreboard in your head, you're not counting all the times our capitalist system has collapsed and turned to the government or federal institutions for help because then you wouldn't have an argument to make.

Capitalism has failed over and over and over and over and over and we keep having to bail it out with taxpayer dollars over and over and over and over and over.

Socialism hasn't failed at all, and in fact has saved capitalism three times this century.

You're welcome, by the way.

Again, great spin. Like slavery, you think the Great Depression was an American thing, not a global event. LOL

Results count. Ask who has the most money and richest lifestyles then tell me again how the Soviet Union is superior. :)

He taxed Social Security benefits so that rich people's taxes could be lowered.

This is the guy Dutch says was the right President for the right time. (:
