Republican Senior Health Care Bill of Rights

I believe this was brought up before but WTF are the Republicans thinking? This is the ultimate non-principled opportunistic type of partisanship that makes me hate politics so much and want to change my voter registration. It's so f*cking transparent. There is no need to play these games. And they sure as hell don't need to do it to defeat Obama/Kennedy Care. F*ck the RNC can be stupid. I like you Michael Steele but this is idiotic.

Steele said the bill of rights would protect Medicare,

Yeah, that's right. Republicans want to prevent cuts to the largest government welfare program in history.
prohibit a government-run insurance option,

Contradicts their first point, but whatever.
outlaw efforts to limit healthcare decisions based on age,

Stupid wording. There are no efforts to limit healthcare decisions based on age. WTF is wrong with US News and World Report? That reporter needs to be fired.

prevent the government from determining end-of-life care,

Prevent the government for paying for a voluntary discussion between a doctor and a senior on determining their end-of-life care. Great way to protect their rights.
and preserve benefit programs for veterans and military families.

Which were never under attack.

What I'm getting is that this bill basically does nothing but prohibit the public option. Basically, it's a huge handout to insurance companies in an opportunistic guise.

There is a pop-up ad for the RNC's Health Care Bill of Rights for Seniors on this site? Good lord. This is the one time I wish I lived on the East Coast. I would seriously walk into the RNC headquarters tomorrow morning and ask if this is an April Fools Day joke happening in August.
