Republican Mayra Flores wins

Yeah. You have a problem with that?

Legal immigration is not illegal immigration, dumbass.

Why are you so dishonest?

It's interesting when she became a citizen....

Still later, as part of the Immigration Act of 1990, Congress made specific provisions for about 150,000 dependents of IRCA legalization beneficiaries to become legal residents, again outside the normal workings of the INA.6

As a dependent of someone that became a citizen under the 1982 Amnesty bill, she would have been eligible to become a citizen in 91-92 at the age of 6 when she "legally" entered the country. It appears she may have came legally only after her father was granted amnesty for entering illegally.

In November that district will be more friendly to Democrats. The special election was held using the old district lines and only 29,000 people voted. She will oppose an incumbent U. S. Representative from McAllen in November.
Democrats are going to fall like flies in November.

She won in a District that has been Democrat for 150 years and she will be the incumbent in November for the 34th. Texas lawmakers made Gonzalez’s current 15th Congressional District more competitive for Republicans. So Gonzales is running for the 34th which actually is turning Republican. The Democrat turnout in November is going to be bad. Gonzales is worried. She is going to get the Hispanic women's vote.

That's kind of hilarious. I think the GOP will have a good mid-term, but not like that.

Remember, as bad as Dems are, Republicans are still camped out down the rabbit hole.
Biden is much worse than Obama and the young vote isn't going to turn out in the midterms. Political pundits think 60 is a realistic number. Regardless the House will change hands and the Senate will also most likely.

As more districts become safe for one party, we are less likely to see big changes as we did in the past. In 2012 66 seats were competitive, by 2020 it was 51, and for 2022 it is about 26. This is not due to gerrymandering but demographic changes.

Mayra Flores' opponent was Democrat Dan Sanchez, He was the tip of the spear for Democrats. He fell on the spear and got impaled. The rest of the Democrats will have similar fates in November. Haw Haw Haw
