Republican Lawmakers may take action to prevent Mamdani from becoming Mayor

House Republicans cited the Constitution's "Insurrection Clause" as the reason for preventing Mamdani from becoming mayor.

The 14th Amendment bars anyone from office who "engaged" in insurrection or rebellion" or who has "given aid and comfort to the
"enemies" of the nation. The group argues that Mamdani's own statements calling to resist ICE could violate the prohibition.

When an idiotic thread is required, you rush to provide. He won the election. That makes him the mayor.

Not if he is found to have engaged in insurrection or rebellion while giving aid and comfort to the enemies.
We'll see what happens if this goes on to take the commie out of his position as mayor of N.Y.C.
