Republican extremism has blocked compromise

LOL, PIMP, your version of events seems....different....from Juan Williams...is that why you didn't provide a link to support your assertion?

Republicans are offering their preferred view of history.

They point to the Democrats’ failure to pass a budget, both when Democrats had majorities in the House and Senate in 2008-2010 and now when they hold the Senate majority.

The GOP charge is technically true, but as the new books illustrate, it is more about creating fog than it is about the whole truth.

First, there is no chance of a polarized House and Senate agreeing on a budget.

And as Senate Budget Committee Chairman Kent Conrad (D-N.D.) points out, the Democrats supported and Congress passed the Budget Control Act last year instead of a budget resolution.

This new law has the full legal effect of a budget because it sets strict spending limits for the next decade, far more than the one-year limits usually found in a budget resolution.

It is estimated that these spending caps will result in almost $900 billion in cuts.

The Budget Control Act also created the supercommittee to craft a reform proposal and a contingency plan if it failed to do so.

It failed and the result will be another $1.2 trillion in spending cuts starting in January.

This means that the Budget Control Act constitutes the biggest package of spending cuts in American history and is already written into the law.

All compromise is based on give and take, but there can be no give and take on fundamentals. Any compromise on mere fundamentals is a surrender. For it is all give and no take.
So you'd rather destroy our nation with your fanaticism than compromise? Fine but there's no place for that kind of lunacy in public policy or governance. This is why so many people have come to the conclusion that the Republican party is unfit to govern because ya'll place ideology and party loyalty above the Nations best interest.

Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do to keep the idiot Democrats from fucking the country up.........
Yea right. Takes a lot of balls to say that. You supported the most inept and incompetent President (Bush) since Warren G. Harding not once but twice. You gladly supported the man who put this nation in its deepest hole since the Great Depression. A man who is one of the all time great bumblers in the history of American politics. LOL

I'd keep your mouth shut on that subject cause you're so lacking in credibility that when you make stupid comments like this the only thing you accomplish is giving reasonable people like me a great big belly laugh! :)

That is the gospel, preacher.

in fairness, he didn't start spending like a daft bugger until after the second election, if not until after the Dems took control of Congress.....when he did, I vowed never to vote for him again.....now that we have a new most inept and incompetent president since Bush, will you do the same?......

i've never changed my position that i'd rather see the world burn than to see it whimper in to submission to the one world government. If you wish to consider the fight for freedom fanaticism, so be it. it's also why the world will continue to see hatred and death abound. and if you consider it in the nations best interest to slowly surrender our freedom for whatever, the founders wish a word with you.
