Reporters vs. Conservative Black Leaders at Press Conference 8 4 2010

They are a just a bunch of self hating Oreo's that have been brainwashed. No way blacks can have disagreements on things or the Tea Party can have non racists. That would be like saying not all Muslims want to blow shit up, not all homosexuals are sexually depraved, not all pot smokers are lazy hippies, not all atheists are immoral nihilists, not all black people are thuggish crack smokers, not all Mexicans are welfare seekers, not all illegal immigrants are criminal trespassers who illegally crossed the border to smuggle drugs and kill white people, not all Jews are evil money grubbers, etc.

Am I right?

Many of the Republicans on board who are pointing at this as a defense of something are also not the types of conservative that those folks seemed to be.

Shit, I guarantee the people on that stage do not all agree on everything.

Now pass the baby and the bbq sauce. Hail Satan!

I left out many of the left's stereotypes and they without a doubt have some. I have fallen into the trap too. Damo is right, it's the lawyers fault. After all, they are ALL just a bunch of evil ambulance chasing bastards. :)
This is a joke, right?

This is a joke, right?

The first two paragraphs, obviously. The last couple sentences are a joke, as well.

The point is you guys do way more stereotyping, generalizing and engage in more attempts to lump groups of people into some collective that you can vilify than just about anybody on board.

Dems tend to do it a lot with the wealthy. Many of them have been guilty of it (not all of them but we need to stop tolerating this shit just because it comes from our corner, too) with the tea party.

I have fallen into the trap by maybe vilifying those who just want a modest social safety net as secretly plotting for outright socialism (I am still concerned about where it leads, moral hazards and all). At times, I may have also overlooked the concerns of social conservatives about the disruption that change can bring, but that is not the focus of the hate mongers and it is time for some more changes. There are also legitimate concerns about immigration that are not all about hatred of Mexicans, but what I have been attacking lately is the distortions of the truth.

The last sentence, I was echoing what I read as the intent (or maybe I just read into it) of The Shawshank Redemption reference. That is, we are all guilty though we just try to blame others, then I extended the joke by stereotyping the lawyers and doing exactly what I was criticizing.

It's so easy to fall prey to it that it seems to be a part of human nature. But we should not embrace it or defend it by just pointing out the error in others, when we see it in ourselves. Own it, try to reform, move on. That's about all I can do. I won't just pretend I am perfect, but you go ahead with that if you want.

Get it? Do you have a substantive comment about it?

What?

NONE of the concerns are about hatred of mexicans. that's 100% spin.

It's always been about the economics, in terms of social services used and wages depressed.

The truth is your a globalist fascist sellout of american workers, and you're willing to destroy the middle class for a short term stock pop. So fuck you, you're not noble, dick.
