Report: Libya's NTC chief says nuclear weapons located.

The outgoing premier of Libya's NTC, Mahmoud Jibril said Sunday that nuclear weapons were found in the country, according to the Al Arabiya TV network, Israel Radio reported.

Jibril also said that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will provide further details on the weapons found in the next few days, according to the report.

So the Muslim Brotherhood has finally got its mitts on some nukes......

I hope they appreciate Obama's assistance in helping them become the first Islmaic terrorists to acquire nuke capability....
Barack ought to get a Thank You card or something from them....

This can't be!!

Right after Kadafi was done with; one of the Liberals, on this site, said something about how terrible the US was for helping to overthrow him, what with his compliance and everthing.

I don't know that the Brotherhood have their hands on it. IAEA appear to be involved. Still this does not mean it won't turn out to be another clusterfuck of Western involvement into the ME. (I understand Libya is in N. Africa)

If you weren't so quick to want to turn this into another opportunity to have a go at Obama, you might ask yourself why they are telling the world about it.

Amen to that! There are so many examples where Western involvement has made the situation worse, yet, they never learn. I suppose, for all we truthfully know, it's just a set-up/excuse for another war.

Some discontented, vindictive, power hungry ex-patriot from one of those countries will tell the "Secret Service" they've seen WMD and away we go, again. Just like they believed Saddam's discontented relatives, liars the lot!


Time to prepare for war, again.

God, this scenario gets old.
 
I'm not saying it is impossible, but it's highly unlikely that Libya has any nuclear weapons. As part of the normalization of relations with the United States, the IAEA was in Libya and dismantled the Libyan nuke program, which reportedly was quite far from being able to manufacture a weapon. It isn't exactly easy to hide an actual weapon or materials sufficient to create a weapon from inspectors with free access, which the IAEA had.

I'm guessing that to the extent there are any "nuclear weapons" they are dirty bombs which, while dangerous and deadly, aren't really nuclear weapons.
