A Democratic congresswoman who sharply criticized President Obama earlier this week said he needs to understand the "level of pain out here," as thousands of people lined up in the heat for a job fair Thursday in Atlanta.
Some had to seek medical attention after waiting so long in the extreme heat at Atlanta Technical College for a chance to get face time with potential employers. The job fair was organized by the Congressional Black Caucus.
Rep. John Lewis, D-Ga., said he was expecting just 500, but thousands of job-seekers showed up instead.
Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., who had expressed frustration with unemployment in the black community during an event in Detroit two days earlier, on said Thursday voters have given her "permission" to express that frustration with the Obama administration.
"They said, 'you're unleashed,'" she told MyFoxAtlanta.com, on the sidelines of a town hall meeting. "It's not simply about criticizing. It's about raising the level of discussion to involve more people so the president can understand even better the level of pain out here."
Lewis told MyFoxAtlanta.com he got emotional talking to all the people in his community seeking work.
"To walk the line and hear the stories of people -- at one time I teared up," he said.

Yes, I am sure der leader feels their pain all the way from Martha’s Vineyard, while he is on vacation

the only thing obama truly understands is -- how to win elections. he is very good at winning elections. who else writes two books far in advance of running for office? the guy is nothing but a groomed politician. he doesn't really understand the people of this nation, the people of this nation WANT TO BELIEVE he does, but he doesn't. only the election and office matters. while that is true of 99% of politicians and presidents, it seems very apt for obama. clinton, bush seemed to actually care about the country, obama, i have yet to see where he expresses genuine concern about the country and its people.

And you find it funny? I hardly think that, you, being the racist POS that you are, are qualified to comment on blacks being disgruntled with Obama.

If Obama does absolutely nothing else for the remainder of his term he has already done the most important thing and that's implementing ObamaCare. The economy goes up and down, jobs come and go; however, assorted Presidents have tried to come up with a medical plan to no avail.

While the plan is not perfect Obama has set the country in right direction for that vital social policy. That was a triumph for his first term. Just wait until you see what he does in his second term!
