Renate said she didn't even know what the comment meant. She was probably a beautiful and popular girl and all the guys lonnnnnnnged for her and all the girls wished they looked like her. LOL
Every high school had one those girls. We did...she even had the "perfect" name, Candy. She was involved in all the clubs, a cheerleader, honor role, etc. She was decent and drop-dead lovely. On the senior football team's yearbook pages with the guy's pictures they all wrote 'Oooooo Candy!' It was a laugh even with her because she wasn't stuck-up and enjoyed the joke. That's what high school kids are like or at least were like.
It's reminiscent of that scene in Top Gun when all the guys single out that one gorgeous babe Kelly McGillis and start serenading her with that Righteous Brothers song.

However, Kavanaugh included "Renate Alumnius" as an entry in his high school yearbook page, and two of Kavanaugh's classmates told the Times the mentions of "Renate" were part of the high school football players' unsubstantiated boasting about their conquests.

Yeah. That's what h.s. kids do.:palm: Boast about things we didn't do or things we're gonna do, but never did, make up things that sound good to impress a clique or a guy or a girl, girls picked on boys, boys picked on girls, most everybody gets a nickname, geeky kids bragging of getting drunk while hanging out with the 'greasers', if they hang out with the 'surfers' some will brag that they visited and surfed at Waimea Bay when they had never even been out of Florida, on and on. Geeeeeeeesh!!! Guess you were home schooled and missed all that.

I guess I had a better class of friends. I would not have tolerated such boasting in my presence. I came of age when women were asserting their rights. We certainly were not allowed to put such trash in our year books. I feel very bad for Renata Dolphin to be allowed to be humiliated in such a way.
