Again... Congress controls the purse strings. It was Republican led Congress that balanced the budget. As I have stated many times, balancing the budget and then sticking to the plan are two different things. They came close in 2000. But every year since Ike the national debt has risen.

I can't help but notice you ignored that Dems controlled Congress from 2007-2009 completely, then had a super majority and a Dem in the WH, yet the national debt still soared. Why do you ignore that?
