I agree w/ that, but we're talking about saving a lot of jobs that aren't in the private sector, like teachers. If they were artificially holding up jobs that competition had made obsolete, I'd join you in objecting.

It's really just the jobs saved stuff from the CBO reports throughout the Obama admin. It isn't strictly public sector, but most of the jobs saved were teachers.

I sure do. It was constantly assailed by those on the right as a CBO fabrication when it was used for #'s on the jobs front when it came to Obama's stimulus.

Now, we're hearing about it every day from that side. Trump can't stop talking (lying) about it - the hundreds & hundreds of jobs that he himself has "saved" at Ford and Carrier, among others. And, naturally, his followers are quick to parrot it.

I think "jobs saved" is going to be a much bigger deal for that crew in the next 4 years. We'll hear about that one a lot.
