Of course, I have heard about this, but i haven't read the story. I have been avoiding it. Does the girl have to die? It's nice that she was sent to disneyland? and shown human kindness, but is there no hope for her at all?

You didn't read the story. It is unrelated to the taunting, she tried to run down another neighbor with a car.

The taunting wasn't illegal.

Right, because nobody ever misses when they do something like that. That's why we don't need laws against attempted murder or anything.

You can't even admit that you jumped in to say something thinking she was arrested for taunting the kid, then when you find out you were wrong about your assumption instead of just admitting it you want to defend so badly you'll say anything.
