Ironically, it was Bush's success with the surge and his success with negotiating a SOFA with the Iraqis in 2008 that enabled Obama to keep his campaign promise of a total pull out of Iraq---which then set the table for the rise of ISIS.

Trump touts himself as a successful negotiator. He likely would have successfully renewed the 2008 agreement. Plus he was against going into Iraq and Hillary was.
