Now party platforms don't mean all that much but wth is going here? Republicans are joining people like Sanders and Warren in wanting to bring it back. They do want to repeal Frank-Dodd which is a positive.

WTF is happening right now? Republicans anti-free trade and pro big regulation. This is nuts.

The trump has single-small-handedly turned your party upon itself.. An almost total repudiation of what your party has stood for, & worked hard for..

I recall a few months ago some conspiracy wackO's were saying the trump is merely a plant to get hillary elected & destroy the modern gop.. Hell, they may be right..

If that was the plan, could anyone have guessed it would be this successful?? WTF?
 
Repealing Glass-Stegal fucked this country. Frank-Dodd only put a bandaid on the wound. If we don't have Glass-Stegal, we will repeat our sins. Glass-Stegal is the cap on banking excesses. Why would you care that Frank-Dodd gets surpassed by more stringent measures? Of course, current conservatives want to kabash Frank-Dodd, so that a completely free capitalism can return us to the great depression. That is where the middle-class waits in line for soup, and where the privileged looks down on the unwashed.

How did it F the country? Which part of its legislation do you feel caused the crash? Which banks didn't need to be bailed out?

Frank-Dodd f'd the small banks. How is that helping the little guy? Little guys benefit by regulations only big banks can afford?

that's a good thing. The Republican "establishment" has nothing to offer anyone. Blowing up the globalists, and the corrupt banking system is fantastic.

Too Bad Bernie didn't get the chance to destroy the corrupt DNC - and toss out the big donors; but 1/2 loaf is better then none.

First, you lame-brained idiot. Frank-Dodd was AFTER the banking crash of 2008. Repealing Glass-Stegal caused the 2008 crash because banks could hide bad investments in toxic paper. Glass-Stegal prevented banks from speculation. Do you have any sense of business at all? Please just shut the fuck up.

what you dont get is the republican voters always wanted this. They were just never given the choice. Its the party not you. I heard the democrats are pro open borders, pro free trade, and pro big business. So you dont have to worry there is still a party for you to join :)

I commend you knowing Dodd-Frank was signed after 2008. Congratulations. What does that have to do with my comment on the effect it's had on banks?

Look at the institutions that came under the most problems in '08 and '09 and tell me which ones were affected by Glass-Steagal. It didn't cause the crash nor did it having anything to do with banks hiding toxic paper. You clearly don't understand it. You've got the cussing and screaming part down. So props to you on that. Instead of yelling maybe do a little more research.

ok seriously. Lets say you put two open borders globalists up there like romney and obama. Are you then going to say Americ is pro outsourcing because one of them won? Its the same with the gop. If everyone running is pro free trade then there was never really a choice. For the first time ever the people were given a choice and they chose correctly.

I believe the country is healthiest when there are two cometing visions for america. A globalist and a nationalist one. globalists should join the dems. Theres no point to two parties if they agree on almost everything except social issues.
