That's incredibly weak. It's no different from someone on the gun control side using "will" when saying that innocent people will get shot if guns aren't regulated more.

You're just like them. This thread is as much fearmongering & false information as you accuse them of. It must be a tough mirror to gaze into.

It's completely different in the fact that there is historical precedent both here and abroad of Grinds claim, where as there is such evidence for your claims. Therefore, while Grinds is still in the category of hypothetical, it is based on evidence, reason, and past history. Therefore it is the more logical of the two positions to take.

I believe in the facts on the ground, you do not, and that is the only thing you are consistent in.

We have:

1) countries that have tried this before
2) certain guns already banned in this country
3) plenty of liberals calling for the banning of various guns

and then you dare to suggest that such allegations are unfounded. They are not. they have already happened.

The other side is wrong because in areas of our country with higher gun control, there are more gun deaths and gun violence. Furthermore you can look at globalized gun violence and it's very clear that the banning and restrictions of guns DOes NOT CORRELATE with lack of gun violence.

In short, you are an idiot.

No grass growing under your feet, but we got you now. After the names of gun owners were published in the newspaper around Sandy Hook, America realized a change had come. The First Amendment was trumping the Second. I mean if there is a pedophile in my neighborhood, their name will be published. Why not guns? Just as many whack jobs there.

This will be nice and clean and will not jeopardize the Second Amendment at all. Back ground checks, even better. Give gun owners the MMPI, Minnesota Multiphase Personality Inventory. Let's find out who is off balance, and MMPI is fool proof, and can not be cheated on. It is the stability test given to CEOs before they are given a job offer. Like most Americans I am afraid of the "gun nuts" with 30 round clips, and assault weapons than I am criminals with guns. Criminals just want money, but the "gun nuts" are always threatening with their fanatic NRA politics. Sane gun owners should welcome this change.

It only makes me feel better that you just keep denying it.

you didn't dismantle anything. We are banning guns this very hour. It's already happening. A national registry will further those ends , just like it has happened in other countries.

Who cares about original intention? If you care about the net saving of lives then the answer is obvious. We must ban cars. Either that or you must accept that some level of death is acceptable to own certain things. And if you can get to that point, congrats, now you can understand the patriots perspective.

Yes I can get to that point and a point further. A gun is not proof of patriotism. Patriotism is love of one's country, guns are proof of hatred and fear of one's fellow man. Not to mention a government led and encouraged insanity.

I love my country and neither hate nor fear anyone. I have never wanted to own a gun and have only ever handled and fired a faiground gun. So I cannot accept what you say.
 
Well, your country is based upon love of monarch; mine is based upon love of liberty, so our separate attitudes toward guns could actually make us both patriots and our opponents ranging from lesser patriots to traitors.
