Considering they represent the city then it's safe to assume the city was embarrassed.
 
Sounds to me as though her restaurant is doing just fine.

It also sounds to me as though the far-right nut-cases in JPP are allowing that to trigger them.

You seem to forget that during the closure she nor her employees were not making any money. Most cooks and servers live from payday to payday so they got hurt unless the owner is independently wealthy and paid their salaries.

How could the town not be embarrassed? That wasn't great publicity for tourism now, was it? And lots of businesses had to respond that she was not representing them...or the town...in any way... She lost her "executive director" position immediately, if you recall. For good reason...If you think she's doing just fine, though...that's up to you.
"booked for weeks" is just laughable, though....

Apparently she took people's "gofundme" money...and she has other "businesses"...and wealthy relatives....;)
Let all her supporters think she did the right thing. Time will tell. She ruined a half-way decent business....and sealed the deal when she doubled down and said she'd do it again.

You are looking at it from your perspective which has no bearing on reality. Yes, there may be some people who are embarrassed, but to state that the whole town is, is preposterous.

I also believe there are people booking to support her. I would if I was traveling there or if she had her establishments in my town. I do think she will be just fine.

She may well have made her business more lucrative.

And she has triggered the hatred-filled hopes of the sickos of the American right.

She may end up running for congress.

Yes, she will. They have a blurb on their website about making reservations; they have figured out a way to prevent the evil shit that Toxic was espousing.

She had to resign immediately. (Main Street Lexington) I'm sure she has "supporters", though I find it hard to believe that anyone (especially in the restaurant business) thought that what she did was acceptable (the NRA didn't support her, you know;)...
If you want to think she'll be "ok", that's perfectly up to you. It really shouldn't be too hard to keep it open, even if they just stock the tables with neighbors.....lol I cook for more than that all the time....
 
Business as usual is over....72 hours notice? lol They better add a minimum for the tea parties;)

That's your opinion and you are entitled to it....she won't be running for anything. She couldn't even keep her position as a volunteer executive director, after all.
