Reason to vote third party/write in.

#41

Yes.
But it's "making a statement". It barely rates an asterisk in the record books.

U.S. elections have binary outcomes. Win or lose. Period.

My first presidential vote was cast in 1972. I voted against Richard ("I am not a crook") Nixon. I genuinely don't remember who I voted for. It was the guy that ran against Nixon that year.
I don't recall me ever having voted for any candidate that ever won.

So why do I waste the fuel in the moped to get to the poll? I could stay home and mainline some more heroin instead.

Change happens if people fight for it. Voting is the most passive-aggressive thing you can do, but it can have far reaching effects. Just ask Ralph Nader. If he was such a non-threat, why the collusion to cheat him out of a platform?

Because Libertarians are just neocons who want to smoke dope and get laid....and all the BS the spew when it comes to a business owners right to discriminate is a no sale to most Americans.

When a 3rd is a viable threat to our two party system, there is collusion to shut it down....just ask Ralph Nader.

Ralph Nader has been quite supportive of Gary Johnson and does not seem to share your uninformed opinion of Libertarians.

Depends who is doing the judging, is so right...absolutely correct.....

Now consider.....with over 90% of the media in Hillary's corner, and with a majority of the teachers being who they are, and Hillary in the position of the most powerful women on earth....what will history look like to your children and grandchildren and great grandchildren.....imo....it will not come close to truth, the facts, we, here right now, know it to be.

If you know some college student now, just ask them who fought in our Civil War, or what the Vietnam War was all about, or who the VP is today and see what they know....

its pitiful ......

And yet somehow the truth muddles through and remains a constant thorn in the side of the establishment. Case in point, the MSM has given Trump more consistent air time and review that Hillary. I'm not talking about Fox News, I'm talking about the Big 3 and their counterparts on cable. Trumps arrogant stupidity in thinking that his decades of documented statements wouldn't come back to bite him in the ass is not "media bias" in a political campaign...it's NEWS. Subsequently, the MSM doggedly hyped the Gop's many failed Benghazi investigations...always following the GOP narrative. What the MSM won't do is push the hard questions on either candidate during the debates....that was left up to alternative progressive media like Pacifica Broadcasting and even NPR.

The Pandora's box is the internet, which can instantly document and disperse facts that either side don't want you to read. It's up to the individual to do the homework to discern the truth.

As for the intelligence of todays youth....check out the responses regarding Occupy Wall St., or the Native protest against the pipeline or the documentations on global warming, fracking, etc.

You only look for stupid people, you'll find them.

good for him. That doesn't discount what was done to him during the 2000 and 2004 elections. Nor does it mean that I automatically agree with everything Nader believes in.

What was done to him that is not done to every third party candidate?

I did not suggest you should agree with everything Nader says. But he is better informed than you are.

For instance, it looks like he buys into some of your anti gmo nonsense but not your anti vaxxer bs.

Trump was news....simple as that....the problem for him was that it was mostly bad news from the media....guess the FACT that over 90% of them were donating and supporting
Hillary might have had something to do with that....
I didn't imply that all college kids were uninformed, but just try a random sample for yourself with simple questions about todays issues and history....
I remember some of the Occupy Wall St. people getting interviewed on the news and most didn't have a clue on exactly what the hell they were protesting....though some did....

The internet is a great tool for information, but it would be fool-hearty to actually believe everything you read there.... everyone can find something to reinforce their
already perceived views and biases.....even global warming.

LOL, says the guy who routinely posts long debunked and obviously inaccurate chain mails.

ha....thats for entertainment.....and it gets Christiefan hopping to Snopes to get the "real" lowdown....

Everything, just everything snopes says is fact, right ?

BS, I called you on many of them and you tried to defend them.

No comment for taichiliberal? He posted the article and he's definitely not a right winger. Have liberals co-opted Reagan's 11th commandment?

He was addressing people who think Hillary walks on water, I don't think Hillary walks on water, I have never found a human that did, although Sam Elliot comes close.
