I thought of this for awhile, but what about a reality show where guys compete to try and invent a new sport?
Viewers vote on the best each week until one is left and then 4 big city markets have a team that play that sport out?
 
About par for "reality" TV shows. All of them I have seen suck.

I watch the History Channel and such for Reality.
 
BTW, how would you keep the action up between them inventing the sport and the teams playing it out? Once they've invented the sport there's pretty much nothing left for them to do. It'd be pretty difficult to fill in that gap there, and the series would lack cohesion, as you'd go from the invention stage, to the voting stage, to the playing stage. Most reality shows try to just concentrate on one thing.
 
I think you should have a survivor version of death row inmates but instead of getting voted off you get voted to the chair.

ethics aside, I would SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO watch that. and you would too.
