Reality check for Gunners

Sometimes I make the mistake that some Americans have the intelligence to understand and the education to use what they understand.
I unequivocally apologise for that mistake.

To clarify: I do NOT dislike the United States. I do NOT dislike Americans per se. I DO dislike stupid people. I DO dislike people who preach peace but who are proud of killing their fellow humans. I DO dislike people who think that because they have a flag on a stick that some god or other has given them priviledges that the rest of the world is not allowed.
If the cap fits .....

I cannot say I have ever met someone who says we should have the rights we do and others in other countries should not. I for one believe that we have our rights because we are willing to defend them, but am perfectly fine and in fact, people should have the rights we enjoy, ESPECIALLY the RKBA.

Then I think it is high time you looked at what rights you actually have. Not the ones that the 'controlling' machine says you have but the rights you really have. Then take a look at your fellow travellers on this planet and consider their rights.
I am guessing the first we would agree on is the pursuit of happiness. Few actually have that though most believe they do. This is partly because 'happiness' has been defined and redefined over the years to fit in with government or business propaganda.
Being something of a cynic I look at what we are told to believe about progress and happiness and then try to find evidence, of these vast improvements for which we go to war and commit our lives, to prove the good we do.
There ain't none!
More people are in poverty now than when I was a kid. More people are unfairly exploited now than when I was a kid. Dictatorships that suck the blood from their citizenry still thrive and prosper. Education in many parts of the world is still used to subdue rather than emancipate.
People are still going to war and getting killed on false pretexts.
If it can be said that America leads in anything, it is this!

Actually, it depends on what State you're in to buy a car without driver's license. But you are partly right on that point, and I am partly wrong.

As for gun shows being liable, neither you or I have a lock on that one. Case in point: Pavlides v. Niles Gun Show, Inc., No. CA 9443, 1994 Ohio App. LEXIS 759 (Ohio Ct. App. Feb.14,1994)

http://www.encyclopedia.com/doc/1P2-20335.html

Your "link" had nothing to do with the SALE of guns; but instead had to do with FUNDING for the venue.

So; you don't like the British, or the Chinese!!

I do not like ANYONE who is as stupid as you, my dear little van driver, whether they be American, British or Chinese.
Now go away and try to evolve into something more akin to a modern life form.

Gee, that would hurt; if it wasn't for the fact that I know you were told to type that, by your Chinese masters

There is a huge problem with this point of view. Nobody in this country (that I am aware of) thinks that we have our rights because we're Americans. We have our rights because we're live human beings, as do you. The difference is that we actively fight against our government to prevent them from denying us those rights. You seem to have accepted the denial of most of yours.

Who is 'proud of killing other humans'??? Yet another of your ignorant caricatures.

As for our flag.... we don't have rights or privileges that others are 'not allowed' to have, though some countries do not have the privileges that we possess.

The point is, the cap doesn't fit... except on the moronic caricature that you have created.

As for disliking stupid people... on that we agree... just try not to hate yourself too much.

You have no rights. You have certain 'allowances'. They are handed to you by those in control at the time. And, I'm sorry to say, that most Americans including those here, make statements that would suggest that they DO indeed consider themselves to have the rights to stomp around the globe imposing their will on others.
You say you fight against your government yet this small band always wins. The PNAC pea brains thought they had determined the future of America with no consultation with Americans! Bush, like a six year old at a computer game, invaded Iraq and lied to you about the justification.
Your rights, my rights, it makes little difference. I have more personal freedom than you however, even though it is in the gift of government and big business.
I have never owned a flag of any description yet am free to walk the streets at any time day or night in almost perfect safety. I can start a business tomorrow and, if smarter than I actually am (or more crooked), make a million by the next day. I am not restricted by excessive taxes and the law neath which I live is almost invisible.
So this 'obsession' that creeps into every post about American freedoms and democracy and killing people for fun and the denial of the rights of others is just so much bravado, is it?

But you 'live' the caricature. You swagger around demanding the right to carry devices designed solely to kill your fellow man. You respect no one. Violence runs through the veins of almost every American. You are prepared to kill and maim to impose Americana.
Which 'privileges' that are possessed by you are denied in other countries? And do you have the right to invade them and kill them so they become more like you?
I fear that, all to often, the cap fits extremely well.

You have no rights.

Well there we have it. The reason (well A reason anyways) as to why you and I are so opposed to each other, your view of the world is that people are not born with rights, which is the polar opposite of the majority of Americans. I'm sorry friend, but most discussions regarding politics from you will do little good. It'd be the equivalent of trying to explain quantum science to a dog. He has no care and no understanding of such things.

Tell me about your 'rights'. Tell me about your 'freedoms'. Teach me.

we had a little argument about that very subject in 1776. we won. we have rights and not allowances.

And, I'm sorry to say, that most Americans including those here, make statements that would suggest that they DO indeed consider themselves to have the rights to stomp around the globe imposing their will on others.
on this, I will agree that most Americans think that we do have that right. they would be wrong, but there it is.

they may be ahead, but they have not won and the more that both parties continue thinking they have the advantage, the more that Americans wake up to this usurpation.

Your rights, my rights, it makes little difference. I have more personal freedom than you however, even though it is in the gift of government and big business.
can you own a gun? can you have more than one child of either sex?

you may have a point here.

maybe, maybe not. i'm sure that it's gonna be tested in the next few years though.

Sounds like a good description of the British.

You seem to be stalking me, little man. 'Bout time you came out of the closet, huh? You stupid little pouf.
Go get your boyfriend - you don't have the wit to give a sensible response on your own.

Yes you have rights enshrined in the constitution until it is changed and believe what you like you won't have a say. Wasn't it one of the aims of bush? Naturally he did not win but then no more stupid man ever walked on his hind legs. The rights you have according to your laws apply only in your country.
However, I will say this, and it applies to most people: Most of us are quite content with what we have ... and that is why the 5% who own and control the 90% will always win.
