Real men take care of their kids

If only love solved everything candy would fall from the sky. Day care and nanny's are not the same as a loving parent. I don't have a problem with dads staying home to raise their kids. What is funny is that dipshit Desh posts this as if it is some surprise.

Liberals and their memes

Your just packed to the gills with hate huh

IHA is on a roll here, with nasty comments for all. I'll just have to preempt (ironic) him:

Can we nuke the South, already?

:nuke:

My "job" was being the property management for our rental.

every couple of years I would go live at the rental house until it was ready to rent and then rent it out.

Then my "job" consisted of dealing with the renters mostly by cashing the checks.

Hey its not my fault if my job was easy as hell.

you rent it out right and the job is done for quite some time

You gouged people for profit? That isn't providing value. You produced nothing. Renting properties is no different than a wall st banker. It isn't like working in a factory making electric cars

You should have let people live there free instead of collecting excessive profits

This should be interesting.

Tom, I do find your list of geniuses to be narrow. How about other categories such as literature. I expect that Jane Austin, for example, could be regarded a literary genius.

I believe Ayn Rand to be the greatest literary genius of them all.

You are one who should NOT stay home with the kids

I can accept Jane Austen as well as George Eliot and Charlotte Bronte, but they were hardly in the league of Shakespeare, Goethe, Proust or Voltaire. Jane Austen had a remarkable insight into 19th century social mores, particularly as she was a near recluse who never married or even had a relationship as far as we know. Maybe it is my pride and prejudice that I was forced to study her and other 19th century authors for English Literature.

Look, don't get me wrong, I am just wondering out loud why there are so few. I know that it will be said that it is all down to paternalism and undoubtedly that was part of the reason but what about now and indeed most of the 20th century? I would love for there to be a lot more as they can only be positive role models to counteract the Kardashian Kulture that your country has popularised and unfortunately the UK has enthusiastically followed.

I think geniuses are drawn out by society. Why, for example, did the English language's greatest poets spring up in the Elizabethan era? Why did great Christian philosophers crop up in the High Middle Ages, and the greatest artists during the Renaissance? Why has the modern era been dominated by computer geniuses?

A growing share of human civilization is now demanding female genius, and they, like all of the geniuses called forth in previous eras, are starting to crop up.

maybe you will have better luck with a sex change since you couldn't make genius status as a man. they always make things easier for women

You couldn't cut it in the Northeast, so you moved South. Good call, as it's considerably cheaper, and the cost of living is good.

Shakespeare couldn't spell.
Voltaire struggled with grammar.
His writings, whilst humorous and thought provoking, even timeless, often lacked depth.
Austen offered grammar, structure, depth very consistent spelling.

I think reputation has you confused.

Justin beiber is a famous person who sings.

Tom Jones became famous because he could sing.

Very few great philosophical writings are considered great literature. Voltaire can certainly be ranked as a political/philosophical genius.

So you equate genius with grammar and spelling?
