I was on the wrong track with this story.

I thought that we were talking about Ray Krok,
but now I hear that the poor guy died in 1984.

He just missed seeing the Padres win the NL pennant,
but the way they played against the Tigers in the World Series,
maybe that wasn't a particularly bad thing.

He may have been involved in the mobilization of Trumpees, but he did not approve of the violence. He was involved in the mobs breaking through the police lines. But videos showing him trying to stop the violence against the police. His actions mitigated his crimes. He will not get his life back, The Trumpys have him under a death threat.
