If we apply it territorially I'd see it. Let's say, one tribe of Sioux claimed that all other native tribes were not "American" and counted them among all the folks that needed to be "pushed into the ocean", the folks that convinced them of this then blow up school children and behead them. Which isn't "Palestinian"... Palestine as a region was created by the Romans. Pretending that Israel didn't exist (as the "Palestinians" try to do) ignores historic records. Even in this one, the "Canaanites" are made up of 3 ethnic groups, one of which is Israelites and Israel. Of these three groups they lived thusly: Moabites are from Jordan, The Ammonites (as a people, not the sea creature) lived East of Jordan, Israelites lived in Israel.

It was called Israel until The Romans called it "Palestinia", and we've gone full circle. The folks Jordan kicked out that moved into the territory are not "more" Palestinian than the Jews that lived there. There was never a nation called "Palestine" that created a "Palestinian" people, there was a conquered region called "Palestinia" by Romans in order to insult the folks that lived there. It doesn't matter if the Greeks misspelled a name and that's where the Romans got it from, the region had Israel, Jordan, and Syria in it, the Romans created it ignoring cultural boundaries and called it that to show they controlled the area, not the original inhabitants.

LOL. Again, Canaan consisted of three nations. This is a bit like saying France doesn't exist because it is all part of Europe. We keep looping back. It's all good, pretending that Canaan suddenly makes it so Israel didn't exist before the Romans conquered it and renamed it Palestinia doesn't change the reality. Palestinia (Palestine) consisted of three nations, none of which want to be called Palestine. The only people who want to be called that left Jordan (Transjordan) when they took over the area they lived in that they called Transjordan, and informed them that there would be no Palestinian territory, they renamed that region "Jordan" (really just took away the separate designation of Transjordan) and gave them seats in the Parliament. Some of the folks didn't want it, so they moved into another area (Gaza) and created a terrorist organization called the PLO... and the rest is history.
This "Palestine" that generated all these "Palestinians" literally includes jews, Jordan and Syria, and at no time was there a separate nation called "Palestine" from which came Palestinians.
I should consider that folks can call themselves what they want to call themselves, my most considered point is that Jews in Israel are equally "Palestinian" as any Arab who left Jordan to live in Gaza (Israel took them in when Jordan would not).
