The cost of food rises BECAUSE that's what it does...with or without a minimum wage increase. Your claim that it occurs BECAUSE of the minimum wage increase is nonsense.

Let's get something clear with you... CEOs are still going to make the same amount, or more, even when you increase the minimum wage. The company (hopefully) is still going to turn a profit. And we are back at square one, with you whining for yet another increase in the minimum wage to help the poorest among us... it never ends, it's the same routine for the past 40 years, and this will go on for the next 40 years, there is no indication we are even close to solving the problem here.

The price will certainly adjust based on other factors, but a wage increase will increase the costs even further than if you did not have the wage increase. That is basic.

Then I asked you to explain how it wouldn't, by telling me where the money for the increase would come... you respond with an irrelevant fact about the cost of living increasing anyway. However, some companies will carry this all the way up, and everyone gets a pay increase. You've just bumped everything up a notch... things cost a few pennies more... people make a few pennies more... it hasn't changed anything or fixed any problem.

wow...you are truly ignorant. every single time MW increases, so do prices. that is not to say that prices do not increase without a MW increase, it is simply pointing the the FACT that every single time MW increases, so do basic necessity prices.

Semi-skilled and skilled workers can look forward to regular raises based on improved performance.


Most minimum wage earners don't get regular raises based on improved performance.
