He rescued the poorest of the poor. He made sure, through SS, that people would not suffer in the future like what was happening during his time.

Of course voting for social programs is in my best interest because it's in everyone's best interest. Just like government medical. Who knows what accident/illness may befall them? Should everyone be constantly scratching for money and become miserly because they never know how much money they'll require for medical care? It's absurd. Consider all the money that is tied up in savings "just in case". Just in case one becomes ill their life will depend on the money they have so one ever has sufficient money. Well, unless they are multi-millionaires. Can we blame the average person for trying all sort of tactics to get money when their life may depend on it? Can we expect them to help anyone when their life may depend on the money they have?

As politicians correctly stated the election was about differing philosophies. It wasn't about how to get to a specific place. It was about determining what place they wanted to go. That's why compromise is so difficult. It's not about different ways to accomplish the same thing. It's about accomplishing different things. The destinations are not the same so it's unlikey the path will be the same. And the people chose the destination they wanted, Obama's destination. They want a society where everyone comes along.

People talk about Obama being a divider instead of a uniter. I think we can put that nonsense to bed once and for all after hearing Romney talk about the 47%.

The old ways are coming to an end. It's time to send O'Reilly and the Fox Friends some flowers and a sympathy card to show our condolences on the passing of the "White Man's World", as O'Reilly so eloquently put it. The truth is it's more like the passing of the Neanderthal World.

Cut it in half and use the savings to go towards the deficit,and stop borrowing from China.
 
Of course we should raise the debt limit. We should keep kicking the can down the road. all the money is made out of thin air. The bankers didnt work to make it to lend out, they'll be fine not being paid back.

You overlook something....That quote was his campaign promise for the 2008 election and his hypocrisy is obvious to all....It was a lie for the 2008 election cycle and
nothings changed in his first term....he lied.....and the only circumstances that have changed is we in deeper shit now than we were before he took office.....

Its plain he did and still does say anything for political expediency....and its pap for the pinheads....you're proof of that.
To you, what he says is all important and what he does is ignored....and the results of what he does is blame on others each and every time.....
Granted...its a great tactic and its working....but like all con games and scams, it wont' last long....and by the time you realize whats happened, it might
just be too late recover.

and in context....Cheney was absolutely right and Obama's re-election is further proof of that .....

Overseas bases, nuclear reserves which require storage and maintenance, stupid weapons that don't work programs, that would be a good start.

I would also have an outside committee look at military contracts to make sure that they are not a bunch of fat cat deals.
