16/12/22 Radio Report: President Elect Trump intends to increase the U.S. nuclear arsenal

Sadly, this is a scale of mindlessness that dwarfs the most fanciful fairytale.

The lone report did not disclose what President Elect Trump perceives the U.S. will gain; that we do not already possess in more than ample quality & quantity with our current nuclear triad.

Perhaps Trump thinks he can chisel enough "savings" from Boeing on the replacement AF-1's to pay for a new, post Cold War nuclear arms race with Russian bromance partner Vladypoot.

It took major diplomatic maneuvering to scale back the Cold War nuclear arsenal liabilities the superpowers had burdened themselves with.

Just what is it President Elect Trump hopes to accomplish this way?

$NOTE$:
Not to dismiss the initial $cost which depending on the scale of the build up could run into many $hunrdeds of $billions.

BUT !!

Then there are the maintenance costs. Once we buy they, we will have to pay to:
- store them
- train military specialists to fire them
- maintain them, and eventually
- safely destroy them (without creating a radioactive nightmare)

I don't have all the details.
but it appears President Elect Trump has skipped his first cog, and he's still nearly a month away from inauguration.

Stock your fallout shelters.
It won't help. But your few remaining days on Earth may at least be a little less worrisome.

It will be a boom to the economy if he just replaces the defense system that Barry has dismantled over the past 8 years while other world powers continue to technically advance their defenses. Everything that Barry has done has been done with one purpose in mind...the promotion and protection of the Muslim Brotherhood.

The Reality of what Trump actually said ...

""The United States must greatly strengthen and expand its nuclear capability until such time as the world comes to its senses regarding nukes,"

for context. can anyone tell me what happened right before trump made this announcement? :)

maybe something related to putin?

BRILLIANT pun sir!
boon (b¡n) noun
A timely blessing or benefit: A spanking breeze is a boon to sailors.

[Middle English bone, from Old Norse bon, prayer.]

What a load of bullshit, I suppose you'll be telling me next that taking out Usama bin Laden was also part of the plan!!

Indeed....what happened to the information found in the Muslim's lair? Was it recovered or did the Commander in least go directly to the press and cry out, "Run brothers....we have found your lair and your future plans". The first act was to make aware to the enemy of the United States that critical information was recovered in that raid....and he made it worthless by publicly making a press release declaring the discovery of that supposed covert information.

You've been duped to the point that you are now mad dog drooling McCarthites from the 50s. Who does the Muslim Brotherhood consider its greatest enemy? RUSSIA.

Depending on advances in launch vehicle technology and weapon design, I suppose we could expand and strengthen our nuclear capability while actually decreasing the number of nukes we have to maintain.

That's a reassuring, and if you'll pardon my saying so, sophisticated analysis.

Unfortunately, in my observation Candidate Trump has not demonstrated the military s a v v y necessary to formulate at that level. I gather Trump's thinking is rather more at the 4th grade level: MORE MORE MORE!

Let us all pray that i am wrong about Trump. But so far, I've got him nailed dead nuts.

The Reality of what Trump actually said ...

""The United States must greatly strengthen and expand its nuclear capability until such time as the world comes to its senses regarding nukes,"

"expand its nuclear capability," we already got enough nuclear potential to kill everyone in the world umpteen times over, why would anyone think we need more?

Whose going to pay for that with the massive tax cuts he is planning?

Doesn't matter.

Trump will wave his magic Trump wand and increase defense spending, build a 2,000 mile wall, deport 12 million people, spend a trillion on infrastructure all while cutting taxes at the same time.

Did I leave anything out?

It's going to be a magical Trump world!!!

nope
"stinky?....."
yup

note:
Radio reports rarely include URL's.

BUT !!

Additional reports indicate Putin is planning a similar round of nuclear arsenal additions.

So we're still nearly a month away from day1 of the Trump administration, and already we're facing a brand new nuclear arms race.

for context. can anyone tell me what happened right before trump made this announcement? :)

maybe something related to putin?
I heard that Putin made an announcement to the fact he was going to upgrade nukes. for better penetration of defense sustem
Which is odd -i would think Putin would not want an arms race anymore then Trump.
Maybe it's some grand design..who knows

The dogs of war do like to howl...I'm still hopefull we can get past COLD WAR MADNESS -but the dogs are always hungry

was not immediately clear if the President-elect is proposing an entire new nuclear policy that he would begin to flesh out once he takes office next year.
Trump could also be referring to plans to modernize the current US nuclear arsenal that are currently underway and will cost hundreds of billions of dollars. The Obama administration has outlined a plan to modernize delivery systems, command and control systems and to refurbish warheads in the US nuclear triad -- the US force of sea, airborne and missile delivered nuclear weapons.
But the plan keeps the size of the nuclear force at existing levels.

Trump and Putin have suggested Trump's inauguration next month will ring in closer relations after the two sides retreated to their most entrenched positions since the end of the Cold War.
The ambiguity and timing of Putin's remarks also suggested that he may be laying an opening gambit in his relationship with the new US President-elect.
