Radical Leftists in Colorado to build stuff

There is a massive problem with work ethic in this country when it comes to the young. Work ethic and good old common sense and know how. Doesnt matter the race either. It is universal. If our country were to somehow suffer a nation wide power outage that were prolonged IMO millions of people would starve off and die. They would have no clue how to care for themselves nor would they have the implements needed to survive or the knowledge of how to use them even if they did have them.

Disagree, when Boomers were young it's doubtful they were much if anymore Conservative or work able.

Millennials actually work longer hours for less pay, and are more educated.

We've had many Millennial Contractors over the past 10 years.

There seems to be no drop off in work quality.

Actually our Millennial electrician is really good.

We had about 20 years ago 2 separate Boomer electricians bail on us.
One even left his tools.

But, this Millennial electrician sticks with us through thick & thin.
( He's a White redhead & a gun loving Conservative)

PS.
I heard a lot of Boomers were drunk at work in the 1970s.

I've heard old stories of just that.

I have to disagree with you bud based upon what I have seen in the last 10-15 years. I do agree about the working more hours thing,...BUT....what I have noticed is a HUGE increase in unproductive hours. There is a big difference in working 8 hours and actually getting something DONE vrs working those same 8 hours and barely doing a damn thing. Life is all about production. Of you produce you will do well,.... if you dont you will not. You will either not make it at all,... or barely scrape by the skin of your ass. NOT talking about YOU personally,....just people in general. As far as education goes,....I am more talking about survival skills, forgotten knowledge, hunter gatherer type stuff. That and.............can you fix your own lawn mower when it doesnt run, shingle your own home if need be, fix or replace your broken toilet. THAT is the kind of thing that is missing nowadays.

The drunk tradesman at work is a tale that just about everyone has heard a million times. Myself included. Im sure it happened somewhere, but truthfully it is mostly a bullshit tale spun by a bunch of older boomer guys to the younguns. Now going to the bar after work? Yep....THAT was pretty much a given and wasnt good either.

Productivity actually only increased when Millennials started working.
 
I HAD TO begin work in the family business the summer after my freshman year of high school. It is the way things were done in this family. My Dad gave us no quarter either,....truthfully he was much harder on us then the regular non family employees. The old man was an old German. Every worked for or with an old school German? LOL I hope you like working your ass off because your gonna! :laugh: Rigid, unbending, particular. Everything done an exact way. "THERE MUST BE ORDER"

They're talking about using earthbag building techniques. This is essentially building a house with sandbags only the sandbags are filled with dirt and a little cement to hold its shape.

They're either too stupid or something to build with all the stone in sight. That would require more tools and knowledge but result in a much better structure than piling up sandbags. Of course, even the earthbag technique requires some carpentry knowledge along with how things like lintels and arches work...
These are some young, delusional, radical Leftists who think food comes from a grocery store and if they build one food will appear in it magically...
