The left loves to say that this land was stolen from the natives and again from the Mexicans. THAT....is a flat out LIE. It was fought for and won by the euro's. The Indians and Mexicans were utterly defeated in battle and lost a series of wars which ended in not only their defeat but unconditional surrender. To them,...STOLEN sounds better though. Even though they themselves KNOW it is a lie. Weird people how they think.
