Your knowledge of history is abysmal. Democrats of that time were CONSERVATIVES. The KKK were/are CHRISTIAN CONSERVATIVES. The party labels have switched philosophies. You're a conservative, aren't you, bigot?
 
It is very sad : ( I hope we can remember someday that we are one country, which we all should want to succeed, one people, who we want to have a better life. and we have one President Trump, our democratically elected leader, who we should want to succeed as well.

It was this being a Christian nation that ended slavery. It would have ended without Lincoln killing 500,000 people and dividing the country.

I love the leap of logic though.

Democrats support Jim Crow and oppose Civil Rights. Republican Party makes Civil Rights laws possible. Democrats are so mad about Civil Rights passing they immediately switch to being Republicans.

That is why so many southern states still had a majority of registered democrat voters for decades after Civil Rights legislation passed.

I mentioned that a few times even back on DCJ. Yes, I am definitely conservative. More middle of the road on almost any issue. That is why I have always been "unenrolled" in MA ( that is what they call registered voters in MA that are not a member of any party). I vote for whom I think is making sense at the time and sometimes it has been Rep, sometimes Dem. Depends. This year was the first time since I could vote that I did not for President.
