After referring to "my African-American" on Friday, Trump faced accusations that the comment was "evocative of slavery," according to ABC News.

In attempting to defend himself, Trump appears to have made matters worse.

In a Tweet posted Saturday morning, Trump highlighted the "support he has received from an African-American family".

The photo, since deleted, was a fake.

It was taken at the 'The 27th annual Midwest Black Family Reunion' held in Ohio in August 2015.
