Racism: Failing now, failing tomorrow, failing forever

it's extremely complicated with charter and magnate schools too - I got no kids anywhere near school age, and my interest is merely "academic" (no pun intended) -so I am going on memory rather then digging down.. that's the basic idea at least if not all the particulars

So, you have nothing.

Thanks for playing. :)

LOL send us $2 billion just in case..

The governor of your penis-shaped state is working on it:

Governor Rick Scott released the following statement announcing that he will travel to Washington D.C. next week to meet with Congressional leaders on the importance of putting partisanship aside and treating the Zika virus threat like a hurricane, which triggers specific preparation and response efforts by the federal government.

Governor Scott said, “Florida has now had more than 100 documented cases of the Zika virus. We are now headed into summer, when heat and rainfall cause our mosquito population to grow. Simultaneously, the Olympic games in Brazil will heavily increase travel to a country where the Zika virus is spreading rapidly.

“We don’t yet know for certain what will happen with this virus, but we owe our citizens a vigorous and thorough preparation effort at the federal level to best protect their health. Congress and the Obama Administration have discussed different plans to combat the Zika virus, some with different price tags. While there is no doubt that Washington wastes money on many things, that vast history of wrongful spending should not stop the federal government from doing the right thing now by executing a robust plan to prevent and combat the spread of Zika in America.

“Like the movements of a hurricane, many things about the Zika virus are still unknown. What long-term effects it has on people, especially pregnant women, have yet to be conclusively determined. The virus is relatively new and much of the federal government’s own information on how it is transmitted and its long-term health effects is still evolving. Just as the time to prepare for a hurricane is before landfall, the time to prepare for combating this virus if it becomes mosquito-borne is now. Washington must put politics aside and agree to a comprehensive plan to protect and respond to the spread of Zika in America. To best protect our citizens, this agreement must be made immediately.

“Working together, Washington leaders can ensure Zika protection and response efforts are both fully funded and fully safeguarded against waste – just as they enact safeguards on emergency spending around a natural disaster. We have enough opportunity for politics in 2016. The federal government’s actions to combat Zika should be without political grandstanding, and solely focus on protecting our citizens from a dangerous threat.”

I'm shocked Scott is whoring for money for Florida!
Look at what he's saying:

we don't know everything but we need a comprehensive plan like a hurricane? Just what would that be?

We don't know if spraying is better then developing a vaccine, but Scott's a Tea Party governor
who hates wasteful spending, unless it's wasted in Florida ?

Just spend a fortune on all facets, because it's our problem and when hurricanes start hitting Florida again we're gonna want
Natural disaster relief too - lots of it,which is fine and dandy because we hate bloated spending unless it's us that are bloated.

I gave you what I know off the top of my head which isn't "nothing"- but isn't something I'm gonna dig into either because it's really complicated ,and a moving target..

The idea is school choice, and how to get the best results from schools..let the states figure it out, like we are doing

So, again...nothing. :D

When I asked one of my black upper middle class friends why he opted to buy a new home in a "black" neighborhood with lower rated schools (he could have bought anywhere financially speaking) his reply was simple and honest, his family felt more comfortable there.

Conspiracy theories are fun but perhaps not real.

Our liberal racist-sniffer friends would call a white person who said that a racist lol. I wonder if they think your black friend is a racist?

People with money tend to like to live around other people with money. Parents tend to want to send their kids to the best schools. I don't think this is new.

I'll point again to where I live. People talk about how diverse the Bay Area is but it's completely segregated in the white areas and were the best schools are. Are all these rich white liberals here racist because of that?

Doesn't "the white areas" strike you as being odd? What about the wealthy minorities, where do they live and how are their schools?
