Before the AHA, if you came into an ER, bleeding to death from a car wreck, with no insurance , they would save your life.

Before the AHA, if you tried to check into the admitting room, of any hospital, with a terminal disease and no insurance, they would apologize and send you home.

I've been saving this, just to see if anyone else wondered about this.

The only proof that he HAD voted Republican, is him saying it.
Not one liberal questioned this and just ACCEPTED that his comment was fact.
 
His story is only one among many others.
The AHA has touched millions of lives in a very positive way in just a few short years.

FACT: If you are in a car accident all of your injuries and medical care associated with said car accident would and still be covered under your or the other drivers car insurance.

FACT: It was and is against the law for an ER to turn anyone away based on ability to pay. That is why ERs turned into defacto primary care offices.

Many car insurance policies are bare bones and may not cover the medical expenses of the driver in a single car crash.If the injured party caused the accident the other cars insurance is not liable to pay for his treatment.
The ERs had to treat all emergency cases by law, true.
But ERs do not treat long term/non emergency, illnesses, even if they are terminal.
No law says they had to and no hospital would have admitted such a patient without insurance before the AHA.
You know little.

Again bullshit. Anyone who owns a car MUST carry liability insurance. How you are covered for is UP to the insured. If you aren't covered enough that is YOUR fault

It was against the law for an ED to turn away any patient emergent or not. That was the law.
