According to liberals the main issue with the cohen payoff to stormy is that the 130k constituted an illegal campaign donation.

In 2008 it was judged the obama campaign recieved 1.3m in illegal donations and incorectly dated an additional 85 million.

Obama had to pay 385k 4 years later. The offices of his personal lawyer were never raided.
