I posted this on a friend's FB page earlier...he's a writer for the Orlando Sentinel. Can't wait to get an answer!

Why haven't all the top notch TV and newspaper reporters in Orlando Florida been able to find and interview the mysterious family saved by George Zimmerman?

I got one!

Seems like the family is an overfed (local!) teabagger, his overfed wife and two overfed children named Mark and Dana Gerstle. Their address, now on Facebook :), is 3770 Long Grove Rd., Port Orange, FL 32771, proudly 91.3% White, and only 3.3% African American. Not only they proud whites, they're wannabe astronauts!



Seems like Mr. Gerstle is a member of the local Tea Party group. Here's a picture of their humble home.

One problem though. A local TV station sent a black reporter to talk to him. Didn't go well...



Now that the fun's out of the way, I've got a lot more questions...

1. How in the hell could George Zimmerman drag 500+ lbs of Gerstle's out of an "overturned" SUV when he couldn't get away from a 150lb skinny black kid?

2. That's the SUV, btw, in the picture. Why is there no damage?



3. No airbag deployment? How in the heck can an SUV overturn and there not be airbag deployment? Don't most newer SUV's have, like...ten airbags? I know my 2013 car does!

4. See above. Why would Mark O'Mara make this statement just an hour or so ago???

btw...remember when y'all had all that fun posting the names and addresses of the people supporting gun control in Newtown? Remember now how that came back and bit ya in the ass.

Let's summarize what we have so far...

No evidence the vehicle turned over.

No injuries.

No real police report.

Police officer "documenting" "crash" was a fellow teabagger and friend of the family.

Looks like, smells like, is a conspiracy!

Grind's gonna have a meltdown when all this comes out...

commenting on weight? that's not cool.

The SUV in the picture not having any damage? They may have more than one car. (the car that rolled over was a blue explorer; the one in the pic looks black but I can't always tell)

Now air bags not deploying is weird; I thought you could only turn off air bags for the passenger, but maybe you can turn them off for everyone these days; our cars aren't exactly new.

You said the paper sent someone to the house and "it didn't go well" - but no link to back that up.

Calling off press conference - no idea why one was scheduled in the first place; I assume that was Z's team trying to milk the event. Normally a rollover where no one is dead or seriously injured doesn't get coverage. And yeah, I could see why they wouldn't want more publicity - esp. if their name and address is all over Facebook.

But since their name is out there and public, won't do any harm to have it on this forum.

Aside from the fact that I was commenting on the combined weight of the family, don't you think weight is an issue when Zimmy supposedly pulled them out of the vehicle? Overweight Zimmy who when thinner and worked out, couldn't get a 150 lb skinny black kid off him?

I think it is pertinent.

Well, Z wasn't alone; there was someone with him. So that's two of them pulling them out. And certainly people have lifted much more in weight than expected when under the influence of adrenalin.

And we don't know if he pulled them out or helped them out.

You have to bear in mind that Howey has an agenda to attend to, so inconvenient facts are not going to get in his way.

Oh gee, and no one else on this board has an agenda? puh-lease!

I still think the whole overturned car thing is very strange. But the world is full of strange things. Does not change my opinion of Z's actions re M.
