You guys make fun of Christians all the time. But if your child or spouse became a fundamentalist Christian, would you ridicule them?

Yes. Then I'd send them to a militant muslim madrassa school, to be indoctrinated into militant islam.
 
my son is the church choir director. both of my two youngest children have spent years as acolytes. I am a deacon. I never make fun of Christians.

Note: the title of my thread is "Question for Liberal Heathens." If you are a Christian (that has yet to be demonstrated), then you are exempt from the question.

Of what church are you a member?
Episcopal, Congregational, or some other apostate church? :tongout:

Those churches haven't been Bible-based for over 150 years. Their offspring includes the United Church of Christ, the Unitarian-Universalists, and a host of other wishy-washy groups. Nevertheless, it is my desire to give you the benefit of the doubt. What do YOU believe?
 
I have no desire to get into a discussion of my religious beliefs here. Especially with someone who puts my denomination down (UCC).

United Church of Crust is little more than a social club where sodomites, dykes, and religious apostates can pretend to be Christians. That having been said, I am not casting judgment on you (individually). That is why I am asking you what you believe. Yes it is true that UCC is rotten to the core, but not all of its members are. Do believe in the Trinity? The infallibility of scripture? The resurrection? The virgin birth?

When a church rejects Christian doctrine, the church is not a real church, but a social club. United Church of Christ/Canada, Unitarian-Universalist, PC-USA and numerous other ex-Reformed churches have been backsliding and apostatizing for years.

Similarly when a person makes judgements about people they don't even know, they're clearly not really a Christian.

Matthew 7:5 says, Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. Jesus is speaking to those (Pharisees) who judge hypocritically, themselves committing the deeds for which they judge others. This is summed up in John 7:24. Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. Ah hah! So the truth is revealed: Christians are supposed to judge others, so long as we judge in the spirit of truth.

UCC is the offspring of hell. :eek:
