If one makes common cause with racists, makes political allies with racists, and never calls out known racists on this board, then there is no tangible difference between them and the self-identified racists.
One of the biggest differences I have seen on this board, and others, over the last decade is the increase in posters who are willing to call black posters n*ggers, and blather endlessly about the supremacy of the white race. And you know what is remarkable, even jarring? Very few, conservative posters ever get in their faces, or even say anything. They are more likely to be found haranguing Desh or Jarod, than confronting overt racism and repulsive bigotry. They are often even found giving "thanks" notifications to known racists.
This passive acceptance on racists within their own midst is not something I remember conservatives doing at this scale ten or 20 years ago. But, maybe I am naïve and just not remembering Republican racism in years past. Lord know, Ronnie Raygun was fond of employing his coded racism using the lexicon of "welfare queens".
