Question for Conservatives...

Are any of you pissed about having been lied to by the Conservative pundants? All the comentary on Fox was about how Romney was going to win. Rush maintained that Romney would win till the end.

Are you so gullable that you belvie they did not know better?

Do you feel tricked?

There are people that wrongly pick every election, every sporting event, the weather etc. And how is a wrong prediction lying unless you are Biff from Back to the Future II and have a time machine which allows to know the results before they actually occur?

Yeah no cherrypicking of polls happened at all, Romney really did have a big lead.

Is your argument polls have never been wrong? Yes a majority of polls showed Obama with a (slight) lead but it wasn't a forgone conclusion that he was going to win.

Because this was fairly clear based on evidence provided by unbiased sources, and these people know. If people who experts loved one team over the other were taking donations for that team, and unbiased sources were saying they were going to lose by a LOT, but these biased experts were trumping up allegations that there team was going to blow out the better team.... and you trusted these biased "experts" but your team got blown out, just like the unbiased experts said would happen.... Would you not be pissed, expecally if you had given money to the effort based on the prediction of the biased expert?

Same with the weather, if you are an expert and you say the storm is going to hit Boston, but the Boston Chamber of Tourism had a convention planned and did not want to suffer cancelations so they paid meterologist's to go out in public and say the storm was going to hit Charlseton , SC... wouldent you be pissed if you did not cancell your plans to go to the Boston Convention based on the "biased" meterologist when the storm really did hit Boston?

How did you feel about 2000 and 2004 ?.....Lied to ?....Tricked ?.....

Why do you talk like a child......its no different in this election year than its ever been in any election.....everyone thinks their side will win no
matter what which side you're talking about.....grow up.

There was more denial & wishful thinking this time around, from the overhyped "Romney momentum" to Peggy Noonan talking about lawn signs. The state polls were all bad for Romney in the days prior to the election, and yet Fox/conservatives still talked about the election like it was a foregone conclusion for Romney.

I get the feeling. Sometimes, the alternative is pretty unthinkable - I think in '04, it was impossible for many to believe that someone like Bush could actually get a 2nd term.

I don't watch Fox so I actually don't know what they were saying pre-election. I just think the premise of Jarod's question is stupid unless you believe 2012 was the first time someone thought their candidate was going to win when they in fact loss.

I remember 2000, 2004 and 2008 and I do not ever recall such widespread belief that the consensus polling was wrong. And it wasn't just a margin of error type discrepancy. There was widespread belief that the polling was drastically wrong and that Romney really was winning by large margins. It wasn't something that people just believed because they hoped that it would be so. The really truly believed that Romney was going to rout Obama. It was so bad that the candidate himself and his family believed it.

It was truly shocking to me.

I remember well that I knew Bush was going to get re-elected in the week going into the election.

Ya, but do you really belive that Rush Linbaugh was certian that ROmney was going to win? Or do you belive he was playing to his listeners?

Anyone who paid any real attention and studied the situation knew that the President was very likely to win. All the experts were predicting it. The Web Cite I follow, electionprojection.com is run by a rabid Republican social conservative, but he knew.. as always. Thats why I follow him and put a lot of stock in what he predicts.

I thought people have stated here the polls were showing Kerry winning prior to the '04 election? I think it's also human nature that peolpe are going to hold out hope that their candidate or team will come back and win against the odds.

My argument is fox, and therefore 90 percent of the knuckle dragging neotool continually pick pools that favored Romney when they were in fact the minority of polls.

Yes, at one point in time, when the polls were showing him ahead. But it was pretty obvious in the last week or two.

Then Mr. Jarod, you might want to clue in your fellow pinhead that can't seem to remember that Romney closed the gap in the election from an Obama lead in the
double digits to between 1 and 5 % in most states.....

There was no denial or wishful thinking at all.....and he did make a race of it.....

Short memories from short on brains partisans....

As always you operate under a faulty premise. I based my belief that Romney would win on two things

1) Ofuckhead wouldn't repeat his 2008 performance and I was right he didn't. He was 8 million votes shy of 2008

2) I assumed that despite unhappiness with Romney, the republican wanted Ofuckstick out more than anything

I was wrong on #2. I myself didn't vote for Romney and I completely misunderstood conservatives antipathy toward Romney. They more than likely made the calculation that "at least I know what I am getting with Ofuckstick." and didn't want to give Rmney the chance to screw them over the way Bush and the GOP did

Nice try though

Thank God for that! The 8 years of Bush burnt a memory in many people's minds.

I assume you didn't see Rove interpreting the numbers. Was he delusional?

While the polls were virtually tied, history supported a Romney win. I reached the same conclusion as most conservatives - that Mitt Romney had it in the bag.

In the end, people simply didn't turn out. Had conservatives actually voted, this would have been a blowout for Romney.
