Puerto ricans do NOT pay federal income tax!! This changes everything

Exactly. They're a territory.

I asked a question back in post #36 then followed by a statement addressing the whining, incompetent mayor.
"They need to be very thankful then for allllllllll the charity they are receiving from the taxpayers and charitable organizations."
You know nothing about the history of U.S tax haven policies in PR. You should probably stick to yapping at your ilk here. They buy your bullshit trump quotes. Nobody else does.

It is really remarkable how many people call themselves Christian, but do not appear to have any sense of morality or fair play.

It is not "charity", dumbass. They are U.S. citizens, who have been required and expected to serve in the U.S. military throughout all the wars we fought over the last century. Puerto Ricans have fought, bled, and died for the stars and stripes. Did you pick up a rifle and serve anywhere??

If you genuinely think they need to pay more taxes, then you would be the first one advocating giving them the statehood they have been denied for a century....and that includes giving them two new U.S. Senators. That assumes your concern trolling about their taxes is actually genuine and principled.

Of course it's a tax haven. Everybody knows that. This does not equate to thankfulness for help coming to them from ANY country INCLUDING their own. geeeesh! :palm:

1) Right..... charitable organizations helping all of us affected by disasters are not charity. :palm:

2) I never said they should pay more taxes.

3) I said, "They need to be very thankful then for allllllllll the charity they are receiving from the taxpayers and charitable organizations."
Should I dumb it down and reword it? OK.
"They need to be very thankful then for allllllllll the charity they are receiving from charitable organizations and the taxpayers."

I was even thankful when the government gave me $66 to help replace my food that went bad during the 8 days without electricity. There's a new generation I guess who was never taught to be simply grateful when ANYTHING pleasant comes their way from ANY source without some sort of politically correct analysis. :(

not going to happen jyst because you want it to, shitstain.

Sorry, but the shitstains are those that don't pay into the pot from which they draw then vote for those that do pay to support their sorry asses to pay more so they can continue being shitstains.

Because they pay other Fed taxes, as well as income taxes on any investments made on U.S businesses. What % of U.S citizens pay no income taxes?

Roughly 50%.

Do you realize a family of four pay zero in income taxes until the family income is almost $50,000?

The rest of us pay those other taxes AND income taxes.

If they don't pay income taxes, chances are real good they don't invest.

As such, they shouldn't pay income taxes. Funny how this country loved PR when it was a tax haven for manufacturing....to the detriment of the local companies.

Then they should STFU about getting help funded by those that do pay income taxes.
