"There is no reason why, in a society which has reached the general level of wealth ours has, the first kind of security should not be guaranteed to all without endangering general freedom; that is: some minimum of food, shelter and clothing, sufficient to preserve health. Nor is there any reason why the state should not help to organize a comprehensive system of social insurance in providing for those common hazards of life against which few can make adequate provision."

~ Friedrich Hayek, The Road to Serfdom

But what happens when I want to buy that island in the southern keys and I can't afford it because some disabled people want to buy a medical walker, occupational therapy, speech therapy and physical therapy. You do realize it's survival of the fittest, (R)ight? ..............Oh wait..............I just went survival of the fittest on a HUMAN scale.....

Do you consider samuel-warde.com a reliable source in general?

Never heard of it until tonight kid. I'm sure it's just like Salon. You are stuck in that newb debate mode where "Oh, it's bias...it doesn't count" and you cant further your education on politics..........it's cute. Like a little newborn.

Let me ask you this kid. Let's stop avoiding the topic.

The person close to me got a medical walker paid for by tax payers. Do you support this?........I know you won't answer because you are a coward.

LOL. Assume much?

Why can't this person close to you get their own walker? Or why can't you pay for it, since you're so close and caring?

And you avoided the question like a political newb.

Keep trying, I love where this is going. OR answer the simple question like someone in a debate should.

You do realize that "I" don't matter in this scenario and that any family that doesn't make a good wage should be what this question is about. JUST KIDDING. You don't know. lol. Knowledge isn't your strong suit.

Insurance wouldn't pay for it........the church was willing to pay for a hotel room rate for the doctors visit. You tell me. Should I sell my humble belongings to get this walker?

You asked if you should sell your humble belongings to help your loved one. Guess you don't care enough to.

You have it wrong kid. America, United We Stand, cares enough to come together and ensure that "Million dollar babies" aren't ignored and aren't under your "negotiations" where selling a house is a topic. Today, the people have decided to help those in their worst case scenario in case they ever see themselves there. If a Hurricane hits, the rest of America will stand proud to help them. If an Earthquake hits, the rest of America will stand proud to help them. If outsourcing hits............the rest of America gets unemployed because Right Wingers don't know a thing about economy or politics.

I guess unless the taxpayers bail out this person you're so close to, they can forget about getting anything from you.

Ok kid. Do some math for me. How much does OT, PT AND ST cost per year. Let's just ignore the doctors costs and the walker. Once a month for a year. Go.
