I have a nanny for my kids, both my wife and I work, we have very flexable schedules but it really helps to have her around. She has been working for us for 11 years.

She is one of the most loyal employees, in fact she is really like a family member who gets paid to clean and take care of the kids, she sometimes sleeps at our house sometimes not, depending on her husbands schedule... because she does not drive and he does.

Anyway, one day in the first year of her employment, I walked into the room and she was drinking a cup of coffee, she quickly tried to hide it and was embarrassed for taking a break and having a cup of our coffee.

I quickly told her that she was welcome to any food in the house. After that day, I made her a cup every morning for a long time.

My wife does the shopping in our house, and we never run out of coffee. I am working from home today and I commented that I really like the Cuban Coffee she buys. My wife told me today she has not bought coffee in 10 years... ever since the day I told the nanny she was welcome to anything in our house, she has been supplying our house with coffee..

AMAZING...

BTW she is a Costa Rican immigrant.

Cuban coffee? wow.. you have my respect..I like strong coffee but not that stuff.
I'll stick to Kona

Is there a point to this thread?

1) Is she and her husband here legally?
2) Do you pay her social security taxes?
3) Do you pay her a living wage of $15/hour?
3) Do you give her medical benefits?
4) Do you give her four weeks paid vacation a year?
5) Do you give her a dental plan?
6) Do you provide her with a 401K with a match?

All things we would like to know since you decided to offer this up and are a caring liberal demanding these types of benefits for ALL people.

He's what you call a bleeding heart Liberal. He demands people get those types of benefits until it involves him actually having to pay for it on their behalf.
