Here it is, the ACA is the law of the land, though it has many problems no one is either able to nor wants to fix it. Currently the Democratic party is mocking the GOP for not repealing and replacing it, but this is because the democrats have no fixes on their own. In fact what they are actually doing is asking and daring the GOP to repeal it so that the problem then belongs to the GOP and not the Dems.

So without anyone fixing this obviously problematic legislation, it is dead.

The legislators happen to have adequate insurance that provides for them an exemption from the ACA. Many millions of other Americans share the same exemptions due to their participation in coverages that respect the same minimums. Are you suggesting that ALL Americans should be required to participate in the ACA? That would certainly be a good start for decreasing premiums, co-pays and overall healthcare charges. But that would be too much for any self respecting capitalist to endure, wouldn't it?
