Proof Southerners Are Retarded: Texas bans ALL Marriage (by accident)

"This state or a political subdivision of this state may not create or recognize any legal status identical or similar to marriage."

One thing that is "identical…to marriage," of course, is marriage. And Texas Attorney General candidate Barbara Ann Radnofsky, a Democrat, is arguing that the current Attorney General, Republican Greg Abbott, made a "massive mistake" in allowing the language.

so you guys really think that could be talking about marriage....that is...marriage is identical to itself? it says legal status identical OR similar to marriage....

are you guys really propagating that this really means they can't recognize marriage because marriage is "identical" to itself? how anyone can read that is beyond me....it is clearly talking about any other legal status this is like marriage....

:palm:

A life sentence?

"This state or a political subdivision of this state may not create or recognize any legal status identical or similar to marriage."

the wording ib1 claims shows southerners are stupid ^....let's see that language applied to a this board and see that it is really ib1 that is the moron...

"JPP or an admin of this board may not create or recognize any screen name status identical or similar to ib1yysguy."

it is ib1's contention that the phrase above would ban him from this board....

:palm:

I've stayed out of this but have to jump into the fray here and say my 2 cents. This is just a case of someone who doesn't like what the bill atually says and what it applies to trying to parse words and trying to convince folks the bill says something it doesn't and never intended to. Much ado about nothing, IMO.

i doubt ib1 even read the phrase at issue....

i have no doubt he just saw the headline, got a hard on at the chance to mock conservative people from the south....what an embarrassment for him

It looks like the jury's in on this one. The poster on this board who calls anyone he disagrees with a "retard" is a retard himself.

God job, ibgayguy! :yay:

I'm not so sure Yurt. We're talking about a guy who walks around with pubic hair on his face and thinks it looks like a beard.
