Progressives are going to find this hard to defend

Uh huh. Your post tells us you know next to nothing about it.

Then Bill Maher knows fuck all as well!!

This evolution was shocking to me. Maher had established a hard-earned reputation for being a smug, profane, Godless liberal who (a decade ago) called Sarah Palin the c-word and made a derogatory joke about her son. Next, he made a $1 million donation to a super PAC supporting Barack Obama’s re-election. But times have changed, and the same irreverence that made Maher a frustrating adversary has made him a uniquely brave ally.

No, Maher hasn’t become a conservative Republican. Not yet, anyway—and probably, not ever. "I'm an old-school liberal,” he said again this week. But he has serious problems with today’s illiberal, intolerant left. And as a conservative, I think he’s right.

In a sense, though, Maher is a conservative—in the sense that he wants to conserve what used to be known as liberalism. But whereas most liberals and conservatives come across boring and antiquated in these radical, post-liberal, times, Maher reminds us that liberalism is the real revolutionary act.

Maher is an iconoclast as much as a liberal. He makes a point of attacking liberal hypocrisy, as he sees it. Not sure what is meant by "today's illiberal, intolerant left", or why that would register with you. I thought
the criticism of liberals implied by this and other threads, which you seem to agree with, is that liberals are too tolerant, not intolerant.

Of course, you know Epstein and Trump were buddies for a decade. Trump said, "Epseiin likes them young, even younger than I do". Clinton outside of politics. Trump claims to be running for president. Can you understand which one is more relevant?

I am ok with that, your dumbass butt buddy thinks all democrats are angels, when it comes to the rich they all have shady vices. He needs to wake up

because you take care to not offend them with the label of pedophile, and say they should be called "minor attracted persons".

Fairyphile Logic 101

FACT: Even hardened criminals hate pedophiles.

POLITICALLY CORRECT CONCLUSION: Anyone who opposes Pedosexual Rights has the mindset of a hardened criminal.
