President Trump to visit East Palestine after toxic train derailment

Why on earth did you say that about Tlaib? She's not your politician and she's not, IMO, a major player for us.

Why on Earth do you take things at face value, especially from a cockroach like McMoonshi'ite? Even if I was being serious do you really think I have the power to call up MbS and ask a favour?

It's clear that there are precious few who understand UK politics on here. Sturgeon was McMoonshi'ite's current squeeze and clearly thought that Scotland was headed out of the Union, I tried to tell the loony many times that the Scots are much cleverer than that.

BoJo is now biding his time ready to lays his cards on the table next year. Starmer is a cardboard cutout politician, who's riding high in the polls currently but is terrified of BJ's charisma and erudition as well he might be. Andrew Neil is a true canny Scot and he knows the reality.

ANDREW NEIL: If you're expecting a Labour landslide, you must have missed Keir Starmer's word salad of mind-numbing banality

I’m all for returning jobs to the United States, I think the pandemic showed us that outsourcing manufacturing makes us vulnerable.
Agreed on outsourcing items necessary for remaining a modern industrial nation, such as IC chips. Other things like buggy whips and cheap hammers are not the type of jobs to keep Americans satisfactorily employed.

I think the US should require a tax or tariff on every thing a company makes out side the US. If we make it unprofitable to manufacture outside of the US companies will move manufacturing back into the US. Trump was bitching about overseas manufacturing long before the pandemic.

A lot of Democrats have been complaining about it for decades.

Dippy's an ex-pat National Front minded Brit living in a country run by a nasty "strong man"...so don't expect much from him, as he's been obsessed with defending fringe right wing politics for years.

Interesting....Democrats, liberals and later progressives have been fighting for such since Ronnie Raygun's days. I don't remember you taking such a position in all these years.....shows progress. There's hope for you yet.

You do spout some serious bullshit, but like McMoonshi'ite the truth means little to you. As for Thailand, I presume you are referring to Prayut Chan-o-cha. There are general elections due in May and hopefully he will become history. Thaksin's daughter is running for the post of PM and is likely to win in a landslide.

How much do you imagine consumer items like iPhones would cost if fabricated in the US? Double if not triple the price! The only way would be for AI run factories to be built, so not many jobs there.

I recently heard someone say that the major point of the "Save the Planet" agenda is to penalize the West and advantage China and their friends. Making it expensive to produce in America because of "Save the Planet" energy costs and shortages and as well national penalties in the planet reparations scheme....which will be massive.... is what was intended.

Don't believe what they say on Fox. The people who moved our plants to China were the owners and execs. They did it for quick profits via cheap unprotected labor and no environmental regulations. It was not American policy nor a nefarious plan. It was greed.

I don't expect a reply, that would require some basic knowledge of economics!

You're a total moron, precious few would have been able to afford an iPhone if built in the US. Indeed I very much doubt that Apple would have even bothered.
