President Obama plays more than Bush

(CNN) -- Barack Obama has come in at eighth in a list of golf-playing American presidents, higher than both George Bush and Ronald Reagan.

Bush was known for his love of golf, but figures released by Mark Knoller of CBS Radio, the unofficial White House statistician, have revealed that Obama has played golf 32 times during his presidency -- eight times more than his predecessor did during his entire tenure at the White House.

In fact, president Obama played a round as recently as last Sunday, when his flight to Poland for the funeral of president Lech Kaczynski was cancelled due to the volcanic ash cloud over Europe.

Golf Digest magazine has ranked president Obama ahead of both Bush and Reagan, but behind Bill Clinton -- who was known to practise his putting in the aisle of Air Force One.

When Obama matches and/or surpasses the Shrub in the amount of vacation time from the White House, let us know.

Bush quit playing golf because of the war. Golf kicks ass. Nothing wrong if Obama plays it. Pussies like Mott just hate on golf because they can't play.

to bitches who can't play there is. you can be a man and go white water rafting or some b.s. I'd like to see half the people who bitch about golf walk a five mile course carrying a heavy ass bag with a 12 pack in it.
 
Golfing's great. I opt for hunting and fishing 1st....but play a lot of golf in the late Summer. I don't begrudge the man for going golfing. A fellow's got to have something to ease the strain....even if he's liberal. No big deal to me here. More power to him.

According to the left, when Bush held that office, it was "frivolous" to play golf while people died in Afghanistan and Iraq at his orders, Bush took that criticism to heart and changed. Of course, now it isn't so "frivolous" it's all good.

That's not my memory of things. My recollection is that Bush made the ever so selfless and dramatic sacrifice of not playing golf because there were wars going on and "the left" gave him shit because (1) it was a total d-bag move and (2) it wasn't true.

Oh, and now watch this drive.
 
I remember Bush Sr. telling everyone to "recreate prudently" when he was boating off of Maine during Gulf 1. What a classic Bush Sr-ism....

(1) It was a d-bag move to claim to have stopped playing golf out of "solidarity" with the troops as if the president were making some great selfless sacrifice; and,

(2) He didn't even stop playing golf when he claimed to have.

why's that a d-bag move? he said he shouldn't be playing golf while troops are out dying in battle. it's not like he should lauded for having done something noble but I don't see the d-bag in it

I think its a total d-bag move. Troops are dying and he's patting himself on the back for not playing golf in "solidarity" with them. That's d-bag in my book.

Yurt is correct though, I am a Bush hater and I hate white people generally.
