Very few know that the court in New York’s civil action against Trump knew that there would be problems from the start in getting Trump to hand over relevant documents. Therefore, the court appointed a third party to view every document that could be relevant and did not release documents that had nothing to do with the civil case (but could be bad in other ways). That third party has found documents relevant to the case but now the Trump Organization refuses to hand them over, saying that they don’t have anything relevant, that Trump doesn’t have a computer, it’s all word of mouth, blah blah.
As most know, the judge ruled that Trump was in contempt of court and would incur a $10,000 fine per day unless the documents were handed over. They were not handed over, and the fines started, but Trump’s lawyers were in court today arguing that he shouldn’t have to pay the $10K per day fine."
